Took ANCC-FNP DECEMBER 2021 & passed
I just wanted to share my experience on how I passed my FNP boards! The first thing I did was to isolate myself from my social/work life. I made sure to be off from work so I would have at least 3 consecutive weeks off. So here’s what I did:
Graduated in May 2021
Procrastinated & did the Fitzergald program (5 months to finish because I didn’t focus)
Scored a 73% on the end exam, which is a “likely” to pass score. I didn’t like fitzgerald, because it didn’t really cover that much.
I did 3 consecutive weeks of Leik and it was my bible! I read it cover to cover. I also had a study partner, which kept me focused. We purchased the Leik app ($70 one time purchase as well), which had loads of questions. LEIK has exam tips, which is basically what’s on the boards.
We watched APEA Ameolies videos, but it was overkill. I did two predictor APEA exams, scored low 60s, felt awful. The questions were bizarre.
Do Leik ! There are a few typos, which would make me laugh, but overall excellent book. You have to read the book one time while taking notes. then read the exam tips. while reading each chapter, do the app questions. save the online tests (online access via textbook) for the end. Leik gives you 4 tests with the ANCC and ANNP verisions.
Regardless, you can get any question but remember common diseases occur commonly so focus more on what primary care sees—-skin, HTN, diabetes. lots of BPH questions too random
Just read the entire leik book while taking notes, the book has an online access that will provide questions. do all the questions and read rationales.
YOU GOT THIS! I am an average student who procrastinated and I passed. I was playing the R Kelly I believe I can fly and the lyric “I believe in me.” that’s all you need! to believe in yourself.
All the best!
