Hey. I heard back today! I got into the pmhnp program!

During the interview I remember they said that acceptance letters will be sent in March. I know the FNP program started sending out letters though.

Nothing yet. Have you heard anything or know anyone who got in?

It wasn’t too tough. I think it’s intimidating being with other people and seeing other peoples experience and wondering if your experience is good enough etc. decisions will be announced early to mid March

Hey. Yes I did. Apparently over 200 apply, 80 get interviewed and only 40 get in. It was me and 3 other applicants- one was for the post masters program, and two faculty members. One was interviewing and the other one was basically just there with her video off. They asked us the same questions- what does being a psych NP mean to you? How do you keep up to date with current nursing practice? Describe a professional career accomplishment that you are proud of. She also asked where we see ourselves in 5 years. Also, they want people who currently work in psych. After the interview we had an Essay that basically asked us what contribution we would bring into psychiatric mental health and why we should be admitted into stony brook. They might ask different questions I’m not sure if it’s the same. Oh and the program is online. that’s basically what it was about. Very competitive.

No definitely not. I’m also kinda nervous- I was told it’s very competitive and not everyone gets an interview.
