  1. When I applied last semester and got rejected they said: Due to the number of applicants exceeding the seats allowed, we regrettably must inform you that we are not able to offer you a seat for the Spring 2022 semester.
  2. I'm sorry, I'm sure you'll get in next time. Good luck!
  3. This was going to be my next question too. I was thinking of going business casual to be on the safe side.
  4. Thank you, I’m in the day program!
  5. Does anyone know what the interview is for during advisement? Are they actually going to ask questions or is it just like a casual thing?
  6. Mines came through at 11:11. I saw it a little late.
  7. Guys check your emails I just got my acceptance letter!
  8. Yeah waiting looks like the best option.?
  9. I’ve tried to do that multiple times but it takes me back to the same error page.
  10. Is anyone else having trouble accessing the degree evaluation page? Mine's keeps telling me that I don't have permission to access the page.
  11. They’re supposed to send out a rejection email but last semester they didn’t send me anything and I ended up emailing them for a decision letter a days or two after the acceptance letters were sent out. Someone will probably say something once acceptance letters are out and u can expect a rejection letter by the next day. If u don’t get anything, email them or call them two days later just in case u did get accepted and they messed up the emails.
  12. Nope from what I’ve seen in the past couple years acceptance letters are usually sent out before registration opens around April 20th or 21st. So I would probably expect them to come by next week.
  13. I t still hasn't opened up for me I don't know why.
  14. Then hopefully this post will open up pms for me.
  15. I received your PM @papsipaps but unfortunately it seems that I need to make more posts before I can reply back or get the platinum membership. Sorry.
  16. I'm taking it with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) right now and he's pretty fair. He's very strict on due dates and following APA format but so long as you do everything on time with proper citations and detailed explanations you'll get good grades. Read his syllabus very carefully because he explains exactly how his class is run on there.
  17. I'm taking patho right now and it's honestly just a lot of mini research papers. So get ready to write a lot, since Summer classes tend to be a much more rushed version of regular semester classes.
  18. Well it was definitely not below 124 I can tell you that much. ?Admissions is very stingy with their data for some reason.
  19. I had 6/10 of the prerequisites done and the same TEAS score which I think put me at about 124 pts. After completing 3 more prerequisites, I'm at 177 pts which is clearly a big jump. So I encourage you to try again next semester when you've completed more prerequisites as they are a big part of your score when you apply.
  20. I hope so, but it always depends on the application pool and I know there are definitely people out there with better scores than me. This is also my second time applying and I think I might give up if I don't get in this time. I don't think that's a horrible score, I think if you don't get in this semester then you'll probably get in next semester once you've finished more prerequisites. I also agree with you about the acceptance letters. The reply I got to my application email said late April so we should probably expect it around the same time as the last couple of years.
  21. Unfortunately I think fall is the harder semester to get into since you're also competing with high schoolers that are applying into the program and they get priority. I know they have 96 seats open every semester but I'm not sure if that's only for transfers or including the high school applicants too. I hope your friend of your friend is wrong too cuz that's 15 points gone.
  22. Not sure where they are but they are: A&P I A&P II Medical Microbiology Pathophysiology Biomedical ethics Psychology I Lifespan and Human Development Intro to Statistics English composition I English composition II If you look at the course description page you'll see that these are all the classes offered by NCC that do not require nursing prerequisites. https://collegecatalog.ncc.edu/current/programs/nursing/nursing_as_bs.html
  23. I have not been to an information session so I can't say anything about that but I will encourage you to read other discussions on this forum from NCC applicants of the past years. I've seen a couple discussions where people with low TEAS scores have gotten accepted. From what I've noticed in the past years discussions, 150+ pts seems to put you in a good position to get accepted but it really depends on the number of applicants that semester and their stats.
  24. If you go to the nursing info sessions they explain it. For each grade you get on a prerequisite class there is a numerical equivalent: A = 4 A- = 3.75 B+ = 3.5 B = 3 B- = 2.75 C+ = 2.5 C = 2 You have to multiply the numerical value with the number of credits the class is worth. Ex: You have an A in A&P II. 4(credits) x 4 (numerical value of an A grade) = 16 pts You have to figure out the points for each prerequisite class you've taken like this and add them all up. Then calculate the points you got for each section of the TEAS using these numerical values: 58.7 - 79.9 = 5 pts 80 - 91.99= 10 pts 92 - 100 = 15 pts Add up all these pts with the pts for your classes then give yourself 5 pts if you've never been in a nursing program and 10 pts if you're a Nassau county resident. I hope this helps, if not you can search the website for other discussions that have explanations for the points system as well.
