  1. Yeah, I was wondering that myself-- in a past thread, I saw they got ~400 applications, interviewed 25, and took 8-12, but I'm not sure if those numbers are still accurate or what their current hiring needs are
  2. Received an offer to interview about half an hour ago!
  3. For those who have submitted apps, are waiting to hear back, or who want to share updates with the community-- Recruiter Update as of 6/24: El Camino Health New Grad Nurse Residency Program Update: Thank you to all applicants to the El Camino Health New Grad Nurse Residency Program. We have had a robust response to this opportunity. We appreciate the very high calibrate of all of our candidates. We are currently in the process of carefully reviewing each and every application. We will be providing a status update as soon as possible and no later than 7/11. First round interviews will be conducted the week of 7/15. Thank you for you interest in El Camino Health. The future of nursing is bright!
  4. can't speak to EVC, but I just started at SJSU this sem! they told us not to work (more than 5-10hr/week). I'm only a month in, but have been working 15h/week and have gotten involved with a few student orgs as well. been able to maintain a's/a-'s on quizzes so far and am ahead in all of my classes. I think if you're ready to tackle it, you're going to do great! be proactive about academic questions you have, and reach out to classmates/professors for support if you are unsure. ultimately, you know yourself and what you can handle ❤️
  5. hi all! echoing what aileen said-- just got the email this morning. however, I just started at sjsu's BSN and will be withdrawing my spot on the alternate list at evc. good luck everyone ❤️
  6. Sure thing! I did not have that many points because although I got my CNA license this Summer, but have not worked as a CNA. TEAS was 94 and I am prior bacc with mostly A's in prereqs, but that still put me at around mid 60s as I haven't taken the less universally required courses that EVC gives extra points to (Pharm etc)
  7. Congratulations!! Same here :-)) So excited to meet our cohort
  8. thank you both!! makes me breathe a little easier, but I guess we'll see in a few weeks! I also applied to evc's program with the hope to do their BSN with sjsu and depending on how this month goes, might also apply to ohlone (since they bridge with csu east bay) I appreciate your responses!
  9. hi all! been browsing here and checking my email incessantly even though I know we don't hear back till thanksgiving time. I got a 94 on the TEAS and my GPA for prereqs is a 3.78. I did take chem 1a 7 years ago, and if they take that grade instead of 30A, then my GPA would be a 3.63. in other words, my impaction score would be a 6.91 or a 6.76 tryna gauge where the cutoff might be this round for acceptances and waitlist-- fingers crossed!
