The University of British Columbia (UBC) BSN 2023 Entry
Current UBC student here. My GPA was below the competitive average, and my undergraduate degree was in the Arts, so I didn't feel competitive academically. My CASPER score was in the 4th quartile (highest), and I felt that my supplemental was really strong. I know there was some people who were waitlisted with an average GPA 10% higher than mine with the same CASPER score...so the selection committee was obviously not super rigid in their consideration and valued my relevant work experience (6 years in mental health/addictions/overdose prevention) and corresponding supplemental answers. Hope that helps a little...haha. It's hard to give hard statistics because they don't share our entrance scores with us if we got accepted, only if you're waitlisted, so I can't say for sure what my supplemental or GPA was officially ranked at.

UBC 2022 Nursing
Does anyone know what tuition will be for Term 1/Term 2? I see the UBC website has tuition listed as per year, but obviously we run through the Summer, so just wondering what they count as 1 year.

Copying and pasting that link isn’t working for me ? Can you share the name or is it a hidden group?

I got in, wish I could share my stats but we weren’t given them in the acceptance letters. I know I scored 4th quartile in Casper, my GPA was below competitive average, and I feel that my supplemental was very strong. This was my first application to UBC, and I only applied to UBC. Needless to say I’m feeling very grateful that my gambling paid off.

Hey! I took mine on January 13th and received results on February 10th. I didn't see my results on UBC's SSC page, instead I got an email directly from Altus Suite with a link to view the results on their website.

UBC 2022 Nursing
Hello everyone :) I have just started my application for the 2022 intake. I will be taking my CASPer on January 13th. My GPA is not overly competitive so I'm really depending on my supplemental and CASPer to boost my overall score. I will be starting my HAP pre-requisite on December 1st, BIOL 235 through Athabasca University. A little bit about me...I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts with a major in criminology in 2016. I have been working in mental health and addictions for almost five years. In the past five years I have helped open a safe injection site, worked as a case manager, and now work at a supportive housing site for chronically homeless adults experiencing mental health and addiction challenges. I have also worked at a municipal police department in their city jail cells for three years. I have volunteered in many capacities, mostly related somehow to the criminal justice system with other experience mentoring disadvantaged youth. Looking forward to getting to know my future classmates (manifesting it for all of us!) and I wish everyone success during this process. -Samantha
