Definitely work on that CNA certification and get as many hours as possible!! I only had this past Summer vacation to accumulate experience and I was able to get close to 300 hours (which isn’t a lot compared to the people who got accepted, but it’s a start!!). With your passion and drive, you will definitely be a nurse!! I think the question is whether or not you will be a UW ABSN student. This cycle was extremely competitive and those who got accepted were super qualified. UW was the only school I got waitlisted/rejected for so the nursing dream is definitely more attainable than you think if you are willing to go to a different school/state!!

Thanks for sharing this!! I had a 3.96 undergrad GPA and had my recommendation written by a NP I shadowed. I unfortunately only had 200-300 clinical hours. That’s amazing how many clinical hours you had! This definitely provided some insight and closure so I really appreciate you sharing!! Congrats again ?

I think our application portal says decisions are mailed out on the 20th! The post-bacc app opens on the 15th though.

I definitely could have done better! I was a little caught off guard with the prompt since I was expecting something more in line with the previous years. Overall I think I did okaaay, it just wasn’t anything fantastic. What about you?

Hi! Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I was also accepted recently ? I was wondering if anyone could share insights/experiences with the program? I applied mainly because they offered a $10,000 ABSN scholarship to everyone. I'm still waiting to hear back on a couple of other schools but I would really appreciate any input on this program. I chose the 16 month option. Thanks!
