  1. I applied as a traditional fall transfer and still waiting for my decision, but they just updated the portal to say all applicants should hear back by June 15th. Not sure if it's the same with ABSN.
  2. Hello!! I've been following this page for awhile but didn't want to comment because I applied as a traditional transfer and still waiting for a decision, but I wanted to ask if anyone who was accepted were able to see their cost of attendance in Albert before they got their acceptance email .
  3. @kswann You're welcome !! Best of luck with everything!! If you have any other questions let me know .
  4. Yes ! So if you have psychology 101, English 101 and I believe the bio class or A&P 1 + 2 then you would start in the second semester. I already had all of my prerequisites finished when I applied so I started in the second semester of the program. So my first semester I took just pharmacology and foundations , but I know some people who were missing one or two classes who took them in the Summer or while taking pharm and foundations. And yes Clinical's you only have in the 3 and 4th semester ! As far as the students , everyone I've met has been really nice. There are some who are rude but I wouldn't let it bother me. I've met some of my best friends from the program. Everyone is eager to learn and help each other because we all understand how it is to go through it together. We study together, practice our lab skills together and even have group chats to make sure everyone's up on time for Clinical's. If you decide to do the program I'm sure you'll like it.
  5. The professors are really good ! They really want you to succeed and give you all the tools too. I really like the program . I know some people think LPN programs aren't as hard as RN's but Suffolk holds us to the same standard as their RN program, we just learn within the scope of our practice. I like the course-load as we only take two classes a semester. The first semester is really good as you don't have any clinical classes so you're able to get used to nursing school, ATI and all the extra work given.
  6. Congratulations on your acceptance into the LPN program. I know they ask for the background check pretty soon. Did stony Brook let you know when to expect acceptances to go out ?
  7. I'm not sure about the regular RN program but I know with the LPN program a few weeks after you submit your deposit the nursing secretary will email you instructions on how to fill out your background check and to submit your vaccinations and paperwork .
  8. I like it a lot. I have one semester left , I graduate in December. They really prepare us to continue on to get our RN .
  9. Sorry to hear ! Yes try again for the Spring ! Or maybe think about the lpn program as well
  10. Congratulations Congratulations on getting into the LPN! I'm glad you're going to take it . I also didn't get accepted and my Rubic is about the same as y'alls. I'm currently in the LPN program at Suffolk . If you have any questions let me know
  11. Yes ! This is true . I meant to write back earlier but I got busy . I spoke with the nursing department . All invitations were sent out so if you didn't receive one you have to reapply and try again for another semester.
  12. No ! Not yet but it looks like they still have two dates available for interviews so maybe they aren't finished yet . I'm not sure
  13. Thank you! I heard they only have two dates up right now to schedule for interviews ! So maybe that's a good thing for me !! Congratulations!!! That's so exciting
  14. Aww OK I completely understand . But same stony Brook is my first choice
  15. Hey again!! It looks like we applied to a lot of the same schools LOL. I looked at Suffolk's website with their grading rubric and it looks like they give you points for the individual score only if your level is advanced and up and they give you points for each subsection with a score of 50 and up. For each sub-scale adjusted individual score (TEAS Reading, TEAS Mathematics, TEAS Science, TEAS English and Language Usage) 50-59% - 1 60-69% - 7 70-79% - 8 80-89% - 10 90-99% - 12
  16. Hey I also applied!! Goodluck
  17. Goodluck!! The wait is going to kill me , I know it LOL. I'm so excited and nervous for this process. I've been working in health care since 2013, and currently getting my LPN certificate at Suffolk
