  1. Hi, I'll be honest I don't quite remember but I think it was for Spring 2024 when I graduated in December 2023 that I applied for. The cohort for CHOA opened I think end of July or 1st of August.
  2. Yes. I was offered in the ED and am there now. I love it.
  3. Hi, so the questions are like why choa? Why nursing? What specialties you prefer? Things like that. But I think they change for everyone. Make sure to do it asap because the sooner the better. I made sure to dress nice for it since they watch the videos.
  4. Hiii, I wouldn't lose hope, especially if you got to the video part of it. I personally start at CHOA on Monday and will tell you that I felt like I wasn't gonna get reached out to and then after over a month, I had a recruiter reach out to me and get me set up with an interview. Things can still work out, it's just a process with them watching the videos and then reaching out. Just make sure you check your spam and stay on point with your emails. Apply to all the places you can, you got this! I was from out of state too ?
  5. Unfortunately Emory does not have pediatrics. When I was doing research, I saw that some people got hired later in the process at CHOA, so I don't think it's too late to not hear back. I applied beginning of august and didn't hear from a recruiter until mid September. They just have to go through all those resumes so maybe you will still have an opportunity, they may just not have as many specialty positions still. Also they will have more openings as people get hired and then decline their offer at CHOA. Good luck and hope you hear back!
  6. Oh yea. I fell for Peds in school so that is why I chose them. It's 33 per hour and the ER you get extra differential for critical nursing
  7. Awesome! Hope it goes great! have you thought about pediatric ER. I just got hired there for ER. They take new grads
  8. Thank you! So I didn't apply to thier ERs but I did apply to other positions and never heard anything but Piedmont I applied to moutainside only. And from my research from reading other forums it seems that northside is always very late with their hiring process compared to the rest. I need to withdraw mine since I now accepted a job though. I did hear back from Northeast georgia hospital very quickly and their interviews are october 19 and 20.
  9. Im guessing they may send it late, because they sent the link to signup like 2 hours late
  10. Yes. I received the link and had an ICU interview setup but I accepted an ED offer with CHOA so I canceled it ?
  11. Awesome I'm gonna go join! Do you remember the schedule they told you. I tried to remember it and am still not fully sure of what it was. I was too scared to write anything during my interview LOL
  12. Yes, I thought it was a good base so im happy with that, they do have night shift differentials so thats nice too. Yeah relocating can be a scary transition but also a fun experience. The interview process had a few steps, first the application, then they send a hirevue to do a few web questions(why choa?, why nursing? whats your preferred floors and why?). Then the recruiter will email to setup a conversation and just ask more about you. And then the recruiter sets up the interview with what is available and what you prefer. The interview was through a webcall. Lots of behavioral style questions so I would YouTube some and practice out loud. They were all super nice which was great.
  13. Thank you, $33/hr Nice, I'm from southwest florida so ill be moving for the position. What areas did you put as your top 3?
  14. Thank you ? No, I am thinking about trying to go in October or November. My school has us pretty tight right now with clinicals and preceptorship so I'm trying to see how I can make it over
