LVN-ADN Alvin Community College /College of the Mainland Summer 2022
Do you have an e-mail with the college? If you don't I would check your spam mail. If there isn't anything there I would call and ask. They would have sent a denial e-mail by now I would think. I know the deadline for people who are accepted to respond is today. Either way I would call them today.

San Jacinto College South - LVN to RN transition Info/Questions
Hey ya'll, I wanted to start this thread for San Jacinto LVN-ADN transition program starting this Fall 2022 @ South Campus. While on this journey of applying for schools, it was extremely hard to find out some specific questions that would help future planning with work/family. Also criteria and the process of applying/getting started was vague. So I'll start with that and of course still have questions about the program in general. Application process: There is an admission rubric, which is nice but also confusing because we did not have to submit it in our application. I suppose it's there as a guide, which I did not have a high score- that made me think I would not get accepted. Another vague process is the HESI mobility exam, they recommend an 850 but there is no minimum (at least not when I applied). I thought it was difficult compared to the HESI A2. There is an optional information session, they did take attendance so I feel like it count for something? Their website also mentions they accept 40 students twice a year ( Fall/Spring). This is generous compared to the other schools I applied to which was 10-20 once a year. Overall GPA - 2.89 (did not take college seriously 10 years ago LOL) HESI Mobility- 719/1000 LVN: Alvin Community College Applied: Late March/2022 Deadline: 4/1/2022 Acceptance E-Mail: 4/8/2022 Decision deadline: 4/15/2022 Mandatory Orientation: 7/12/2022 CastleBranch/Drug screen due date: 4/22/2022 *IdentoGO - is random so not everyone will recieve an email. Program start: Mid August 2022. They move pretty quickly which I appreciate. Of course most of my questions will be answered at orientation but I'm a little anxious about knowing now. ? I'm curious to know how many classes and clinical days through out the week are required and the hours? How manageable is working part time? Are clinicals on weekdays or wknd? What's the furthest location? Are all classes in person? Lastly- overall experience, professors, support, drop rate, etc. Any info is appreciated, otherwise I'll check back in and answer my own questions for the next person who is interested.

I agree, lots of pressure! No they did not talk about average score but I think your stats are above average. I guess it really depends how many applicants they have. Yeah that's true, but it makes a huge difference when professors actually want to help you succeed. I did my LVN at Alvin, it was tough but the support was definitely there. I have no complaints about their program. I've emailed COM about my HESI score not showing up as completed and have not gotten a response in over a week, so I'll be calling next week. There was only 20 applicants in the meeting I attended, which surprised me. I figured there would be way more.

LVN-ADN Alvin Community College /College of the Mainland Summer 2022
Hi everyone, I'm starting a thread for those applying for the LVN-ADN programs at Alvin Community College and College of the Mainland starting Summer 2022. I don't expect an answer until Mid April or so. HESI overall: 90 GPA: 3.1 I'm also applying to San Jacinto South, although this would be my third choice. It is one semester longer, so I'd like to avoid that if at all possible. Scheduled my HESI specialty exam for 3/19/2022, however there's no minimum score at this time. Good luck everyone.
