Good news! I just spoke to a recruiter last week who said nurses had received an increase in pay and rates have gone up. I wouldn’t be able to answer your question as I ended up staying with the hospital system I was already employed with.

I believe for new grads without previous experience (EMT, LPN, etc.) it was $29 when I interviewed last Fall.

$29/hr 2/21/22 is the start date they gave me at Egleston. Said that’s when our cohort would start.

PICU. Congrats to your friend! Definitely CICU for me. Did your recruiter send you the unit list with types of patients and machines frequently used for each unit? That was very helpful!

CHOA. I’ve been on their, Piedmont’s, neuro floor for clinical shifts and they’ve always been great. It’s their smallest ICU with 10 beds, and they seem to be very willing to help each other out when needed. Good luck in your decision!

Yeah! I have offers for CICU and MSICU but awaiting one more interview at a different hospital this week and will make a decision. Which are you leaning towards?

@Andriana Emile Piedmont is $32/hr base pay for new grads. Not sure if that has specialty diff in with that amount for ICU’s but what I was told. If you have previous LPN experience, etc. it is higher.
