  1. Congratulations on your acceptance! Here is the link for the facebook group if you haven’t gotten it yet. https://www.facebook.com/groups/538325610562597
  2. OMG, I got in for MDE/DNP midwifery program. I'm so happy! Congrats to everyone! To those who did not get in, I personally know the feeling. Keep your head up. Any school will be lucky to have you!
  3. Congratulations to everyone that got accepted! I got rejected as well.
  4. Good morning everyone, I got a response for my email about decisions Thank you for reaching out! We anticipate that decisions for the MDE program will be released around February. It is very possible that there will be rounds this year but the committee has yet to confirm this information. If this is the case we will be sure to communicate this with all applicants prior to releasing decisions.
  5. Yeah I think I’m going to do it ?. I really want to know. Hopefully, they reach back out soon.
  6. I haven’t received any email yet. I have thought about emailing admissions and asking if they could give an estimated date of when we should hear back. I mean it wouldn’t hurt to ask, right? ?
  7. Nope I haven’t gotten anything yet either. I’m going to assume that I’ll hear something by at least 5 pm EST.
  8. Heyy I applied for the MDE/DNP midwifery program. My end goal is practice in my own clinic and start a foundation to provide seminars on maternal and sexual health in low income areas, provide scholarships for young mothers who would like to go back to school, and free STD testing, etc.
  9. 9 am would be nice. I been so busy at work that I didn’t think to email Jana. Hopefully somebody did.
  10. Any predictions on what time we should receive our decision about interviews?
  11. Hey I actually did a one on one meeting. I met with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she allowed me to ask any questions I had about the application process. It was very helpful!
  12. Good morning, I think it should be fine to answer out of order since you will be addressing all the questions.
  13. Hey everyone! I just wanted to stop by and see how everyone has been feeling. I'm feeling relieved that I got my application turned in but feeling anxious about waiting these next few months.
  14. Hey! I am applying to the midwifery specialty. I graduated with a B.S. in biology finishing with a 3.3 GPA. I did a few volunteer opportunities such as volunteering in the ICU, drive-thru mask giveaway, and community cleanup. I also joined some organizations. I'm currently taking some prerequisites now for the program. I'm taking two now and will be taking two more in the Spring. I just submitted my application yesterday but I'm still waiting on both of my letters of recommendation. Have you submitted your application yet? What specialty are you applying to? Stats? Have you applied to any other schools?
  15. I attended a information session and they told us the decision would be released in February. They didn’t give an exact date though.
  16. A thread for BSN-MSN 2022 applicants ?
  17. I’ll be sticking with midwifery. Luckily I finished my Yale application a couple of weeks ago. I’m also applying to Columbia and University of Pennsylvania.
  18. Yes I was! Well this is what they said in the email. Dear Midwifery Applicants, We know 2021 has continued to be a challenging year for the nursing community. Emory will not be reviewing applications for the midwifery specialty for 2022. This decision was not an easy one, but it will allow us to ensure we can adequately support our students who have already matriculated into the program. Our current students have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and they need our support. Due to this programming change, we will refund your application fee of $50. We apologize for any inconvenience this announcement may have caused. We wish you the best of the luck as you apply to midwifery programs. Sincerely, The Office of Enrollment and Student Affairs
  19. Hey everyone, so Emory sent an email this morning stating that they will not be reviewing applications for the midwifery speciality for 2022. I’m extremely disappointed but I just wanted to say congratulations again to everyone that got accepted. You’ll all be great nurses/nps!
  20. Hopefully they let us know something soon! Good luck!
  21. Oh okay, that email got sent to my junk mail so I just seen it. I saw that it was sent on Friday. What specialty did you end up choosing?
  22. I definitely will! Thank you!
  23. Yeah I been checking since yesterday morning. It says application received still.
  24. Hi everyone, I just wanted to say congrats to everyone that got accepted last Friday! I applied to MN + MSN and I chose the certified nurse-midwife specialty. Is there anyone still waiting on their decision? I haven't heard anything yet, unfortunately.
