  1. It isn't required to have the access codes for the text books. But I would say at least buy the access code for the Yoost and Crawford Nursing fundamentals textbook, because on their online portion in "Evolve" (will make sense later) there are extra practice questions which I found very helpful. Another thing everyone uses is The nursing professor (its a website) shes an old OCCC nursing prof and her mock exams are super helpful in preparing for the lecture exams. This semester has been hard and pretty stressful. Work less if you can, but thats to say I have met friends in the course who have full time jobs and kids. Whatever your situation is, it's possible. Just have to be determined. It is a short term struggle for a permanent result....... I'd be glad to answer any questions anyone has cause I know I was digging for all the info I could before I started. - peace & love.
  2. Update 5/5/22: First semester is almost over. So far I have passed all of my exams. ATI fundamentals exam first try is tonight and then next Tuesday is the lecture final. Good luck everyone! We have came so far. And to anyone trying to get in the program still who is reading this don't give up. It's still better than Chemistry LOL. To anyone accepted in the program I would say to start practicing dimensional analysis. !! And get organized and find a way to STAY organized. And its hard work yall but its completely doable. Just stay focused and remember your end goal.
  3. It was like one month after orientation.
  4. So I am about to finish my first semester of the traditional RN program at OCCC. You have to buy the ATI program which comes with all of the ATI books (its 300 dollars) in my opinion I would just buy the rest too. Because you will need them for the rest of the time. There is like 3 other books we used. Fundamentals for the first semester and then I think the med surg book for the rest of the time and then this book about pediatrics /kids So I am about to finish my first semester of the traditional RN program at OCCC. 5. Well... I’d give it time. There’s a lot that goes into being admitted after being accepted. Drug tests, background checks, lots of immunizations , and lots of money that one needs to come up with. So don’t give up. And if you are #4 I bet you get accepted next time.
  6. Update: I got in ? so excited. Wish you all the best of luck. I know we all work our butts off for this.
  7. I’m #5 alternate for Occc. I know it’s a different school. But everything I have researched shows me I would get in. Just think about it - people who applied at multiple schools may have been accepted at multiple schools. And they may not choose OSU. What day did you guys get your response? We got ours last Tuesday.
  8. You have no idea how much you took off my shoulders saying this , so thank you for going out of your way to do so. Also, thank you for sharing your experience. I didn’t get in the program when I applied for Fall, so I am praying that now is my time. Still scared of actually getting into the program too. I hope I can do it, but I know I have no choice but to make it. I will update here with my progress for others to see as well.
  9. Did you get in??? If so, congratulations ???
  10. I didn’t get in. 16 points - #5 on alternate list.
  11. I still have hope we’ll find Out today. Gosh I hope.
  12. I have 16. Thinking we will get the response back on Monday. It was about the same when I applied last time.
  13. How many points did you all have when applying??? I am obsessing over the points. I had 16. I didn’t get in last time with 14 and I am praying that I make it this time. Wish you all the best of luck as well.
  14. No, but I am betting that we get a response sometime this Monday. how many points did you have?
