  1. I personally have worked 16 hours a week, but I took the first 4 weeks off (the first 4 weeks are pretty hectic) but I know others in our cohort have worked the entire time.
  2. I’ve done it when I got my CNA license, in which I did have the eyesight exam where I just read the letters on the wall from a few feet away.
  3. Yes, November 29th is the scheduled mandatory orientation according to the acceptance email.
  4. I’m sure they’ll send out more emails this week, either today or tomorrow. Palomars gotta start getting the ball rolling especially with people getting other emails from other schools, spots will start opening up, plus the mandatory meeting is at the end of this month so they’ll need the final people within the next 3 weeks. I’m sending you happy thoughts & good vibes! ?
  5. No I haven’t gotten anything else from grossmont other than the email saying it takes a few weeks to get emails out
  6. Yeah that’s rough to think that programs are going back to a stupid lottery system….
  7. Just got my letter of acceptance into palomar, estimated 86-87 points, I will be taking my seat as palomar was my first choice. good luck you guys!
  8. @rachelbee521 congrats on such good points! I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting into your first choice! I hope we hear back soon!
  9. Yes you get an email of acceptance or rejection so you will know how it goes either way. we should be finding out soon! How many points did you apply with?? & good luck! (:
  10. Noooo; they don’t send confirmation emails. They said to just get a tracking number and know that way LOL, makes me nervous. we should find out next month or November! how many points did you apply with?
  11. @Goddess6 - no, I emailed palomar for confirmation and never heard a word back. I have the same delivery status for both grossmont and palomar as you.
  12. yes, palomar is pretty much my "sweet spot" as well, definitely where I feel I have the best chance of getting into. I also applied to grossmont but they arent as lenient with certain points so I'm applying there with less points than I am with palomar. I'm so anxious!! I just hope its not as competitive as it was last semester! the jump in the accepted point range compared to previous cohorts was really discouraging LOL.
  13. I wondered the same thing, I thought last cohort they had electronic applications as an option. I really wished they allowed for in person drop off, or at least a confirmation of receiving the applications. I’m sure they have your application, it may just be in a different pile or something! I’ll let you know if they get back to me about my application, but it doesn’t seem like they will. I’m wondering how impacted this cohort will be, maybe they have a ton of applications so it makes finding one like a needle in a haystack.
  14. @Awzap3 ahhhh now you have me nervous LOL, who did you talk to? I emailed them asking for confirmation but no reply yet. Did your tracking number say delivered?
  15. I didn’t ask if they received it. I tracked my envelope and it said it was delivered so I kinda just took that as they have it.
  16. I was feeling so confident for palomar at least, but now I’m questioning everything from all these forums I’ve been reading from last cohort
  17. @Goddess6 same, I’m applying to palomar and hoping to have 87 points, but I’m not sure about one of my life experience points, I wish we knew right off the bat what points will be accepted LOL. For certain points (educational/social disadvantage, etc) it seems super broad so I’m hoping it’s a lenient point? I also applied to grossmont, so hopefully one hits. ? I’m very nervous too, last semester had a crazy high point range!
  18. Wow @gabdcruz95 those are some serious points, good job!
  19. Hey guys, I applied to MiraCosta with (hopefully) 92 points, as long as they give me my life experience points I also applied to Palomar with 87 points, so we shall see. I’m wondering what the points pool is gonna be like this semester? Last semester the lowest points was 85 which was a huge jump from prior cohorts!
  20. Hey guys! I just sent in my applications to Palomar & MiraCosta! So happy that that’s all over LOL. I’m looking at 92 points for MiraCosta & 87 points for Palomar, as long as I get all my points for life experience im not expecting to get into MiraCosta, but I feel really good about Palomar but I’m trying not to get my hopes too high up. I have my CNA, Associates degree, 4.0 in sciences, 3.5 in fixed, 2 semesters of Spanish, and I got an 88.7 on the TEAS. Im so nervous! I saw the accepted points really jumped up for Palomar last semester so I’m really nervous to see if there’s another jump. I hope to make the cut! good luck to all of you! Cheers to this new adventure!
