  1. And yes, it says admitted now, but I think it only changed this morning.
  2. Mine said incomplete until this morning, but I got my official acceptance letter just after midnight.
  3. Congratulations, Ron. I have not received my email from Admissions yet. The last one I got was also on 4/2 from Jennifer at Patricia A. Chin School of Nursing, saying "complete, all requirements met" and that I was recommended by the School of Nursing. I just checked the portal and it says "incomplete."
  4. Don't worry. They just want you to confirm so they can accept anybody on their waitlist. If somebody was waitlisted, they would free up spots of people that were accepted but changed their minds. But then you still have to go through the university process, and they will send out acceptance letters probably by mid April. But if you were recommended by the school of nursing, it is 99.999% certain you'll get an acceptance letter from the school
  5. I think everybody who was recommended got their letters on 3/13. We won't receive the university acceptance letters until April. But if Patricia A. Chin School recommended you, it is unlikely that the university would not accept you. The school of nursing is harder than the university LOL
  6. Oh I see. I guess there was a whole second set of first interviews today. I did mine today and I noticed there were at least 5 others on the schedule. Good luck everyone!
  7. Thanks. Did you interview? They said that they're going to make decisions and send out letters in the next two weeks
  8. My interview is on Monday. I asked the scheduler in February why I didn't have a time yet. Apparently, I didn't get the email with the link to schedule times. There are several more interviews on Monday.
  9. If you are graduating in December, then, the next round when you could apply would probably be February. They usually have their application. In February, May, August, and November. You would need to have passed your NCLEX before applying, though. I don't remember them having L & D as one of the options, but I'm sure if you got hired into a regular bedside position, you could always transfer over later
  10. I am sorry I am just seeing this now. I hope you got what you needed. Acuity adaptable is basically like a step-down unit, or maybe a telemetry unit.
  11. Hi there! You got this! Well, my interview was for the OR, so it was specific to that department. Mostly things like knowing the role of a circulating nurse and a scrub nurse, and seeing if we were passionate about that department. But for other departments, they may ask you about yourself and how you became interested in nursing. Maybe have a story ready about a time where you went above and beyond for a patient, and then be prepared to answer some clinical questions like about how you would prioritize something or what you would do if you walked into a room and saw a patient struggling to breathe. What would be the first, second, and third things you would do. it may be department specific, like if you are interviewing for the ICU or telemetry, etc. if it's telemetry they might ask you how you would interpret a certain heart rhythm. they are just trying to get a feel for your interests and attitude. I hope that helps!
  12. Yes, I think a cover letter is optional. Your personal statement can serve as a cover letter
  13. I just found out the applications are open now and virtual interviews are March 29 through March 31 Good luck!
  14. Probably late April or early May. They do it every 3 months. Make sure you sign up for the job alerts and get all your materials ready to go because once the applications open up, it's only open until they have 200 applications, which can sometimes only take a few hours. Good luck!
  15. It will say “under consideration” until everyone has accepted their offers and/or offers have gone out to alternates. If you haven’t done an interview yet, then you have not been chosen for this round. Make sure your resume and credentials are all in line and apply to the next cohort in February.
  16. It's probably $47 base rate for days now. I started at $44 in Feb 2022 cohort, but they gave me a 7.75% cost of living raise in October plus and additional 2% merit-based raise at the same time. There is a $7 night differential.
  17. For our group, it was about 2:30 or 3am. Good luck!
  18. yes, that's how they did it last time. Just keep track of your hours and your lunch break, and you will write in on a Kronos form later to get paid. They will explain that in your orientation. ?
  19. It's scheduled for 8am so that you can get your full 8 hour day/40 hour week, and to give you a chance to finish all your modules, but you don't have to be at the meeting until 9am. You can also spend time at the end working on your modules. Good luck everyone!
  20. oh, LOL. OK. I'll send you my number so you can text if you have any questions...
  21. Yay! Congratulations! Good luck to everyone. Every department moves at a different pace, so don't worry if you haven't heard back yet. I didn't get my offer for 10 days after my interview. ?
  22. Good luck! Yes, I am really enjoying the OR. It has a steep learning curve since we didn't get much of that in nursing school, but has been really good overall. The peri-op educators and most of the people on the OR units are very supportive and encouraging. I'm in the middle of my second rotation (11 more and then on to our home floor). ?
