Georgia State Perimeter College ASN 2022
Hi Kate, thanks for the words of encouragement and info about the program! Any info about it helps a lot bc I'm super nervous about it and trying to prepare as much as I can!! I have a few questions if you don't mind, I heard the uniforms run bigger. Is this true? Should I order a small if I'm usually a medium? Also do they ship all of the uniforms on the listed ship date? For us the listed ship date is December 24th which seems too late to be able to try them on and exchange if needed. Do you think they'd let me wear white shoes with black trim around the bottom? Or should I buy all white shoes? For the watch, are smart watches allowed? Thanks!

Yes definitely wait for them to reach out to you first! You might get an acceptance anyway. Just remind yourself that you will be okay either way. That's what I kept telling myself while waiting. I knew that if I got denied I was going to apply to lots of schools for fall 22 semester which increases odds of getting an acceptance a lot.

Those are great. You really should get in. I read on a past forum that someone who didn't get accepted emailed asking what they can improve on their application for the next cycle. Apparently they got back to her saying she actually did get in and she received the denial as an error. ? So I'd definitely email them!

Hi everyone, to my surprise I also got my acceptance email yesterday! I just didn't have time to open it until last night. Microbiology is kicking my butt, so I waited until I was done with everything so I'd have time to be sad if I was rejected LOL. For those who didn't get accepted yet don't give up! Lots of people give up their spots so you can still get in. Has anyone tried ordering the nurse packs yet?? The code isn't working for me.

Does anyone know if their upcoming clinicals are going to be online?
With the delta variant getting bad and high chance of vaccine-resistant variants emerging, I am starting to wonder if nursing school clinicals will soon be remote again. I know it will be different for every program, but I cannot contact my future program because they are overwhelmed. My (non-nursing science major) sister said her college is telling her to prepare for everything to go remote at any second. I'm wondering if anyone has heard similar things from their nursing programs. I won't start my program until 2022 (not sure if fall or Spring), but I'm trying to get an idea of what it's going to be like so that I'm prepared.

Well for me the main reason is that I don't have A&P II or Microbiology done yet and I'm just thinking there will probably be enough applicants that do have them done Also, years ago I used to go to GGC, when I did not know I wanted to go into nursing and was not able to focus on school, mainly bc I really could not afford to go to GGC? I got an F and a D in electives that just happen to be listed on the nursing general ED list, so now those are going to really count against me☹️ So I don't think my chances are good this application cycle, but I just wanted to know that I did everything I could!! GPA 3.3 (Not sure if this is right. I just averaged together all the classes I've taken that are listed under nursing gen ED) Science GPA 4.0 (also not sure if I calculated this right. I just used my A&P I grades and left out intro to biology) Overall TEAS 92 Math 100 Reading 89.4

Interesting, where did you find that info? It's been hard for me to find info on. But when people say that it's going to be a waste of time/money or that I won't be able to bridge to ADN/BSN it seems like too much of a risk to take for me. I need to graduate within the next few years so I can't risk wasting time:/

Yeah I told her I completed A&P I over the Summer which is supposed to meet that requirement. On Tuesday she asked me for the CRNs and I gave them to her, but I haven't been able to get a response since. I'm hoping she's just overwhelmed with emails right now and that she'll get to mine soon ? It's so nervewracking

Is it okay to go to an unaccredited LPN program if it is approved by the state BON?
That's what I was afraid of possibly happening. Sorry that happened to you. It's crazy that there are so many non-accredited schools that put people in this position! For LPNs people in my area pretty much either have to go to a non-accredited school or move. So off to ADN programs I go ?
