  1. I am in Florida and I am a nursing student. I have been a patient in the in-patient psych unit twice within the five years. I am getting my psychiatrist to write a letter for me. So what’s the process. I have a job lined up when I graduate but I don’t want my NCLEX to be delayed because of my mental health history. Should I submit my application early to get it approved before my school sends our transcript? Like pay for the Pearson vue.
  2. Hello everyone, I am going into my core nursing classes next week and I just accepted a full-time mental health position. What advice will you give to a nursing student who has to work 3’12s? My parents don’t support me and I have bills to pay, plus my hospital will give me about $5,250 every year while in nursing school and I get paid $100 for my loans after 90 days. I also get 20% discount as a full-time employee. I am going to be saving about $20,000 getting my RN and BSN for working full-time. Is it manageable. My ASN is accelerated and only 15months. Note: I worked 48-60hrs as a home-health aide while I took my pre-requisites but I could study. Also what advice would you give to a new mental health tech. How crazy does it good? Are there down-times and what should I do to be better. My goal is to be a psych nurse then a psych NP eventually. SORRY FOR THE LONG MESSAGE. I just wanted to give a little bit of context and thank you all for your helpful insight in advance.
