  1. Crowdsourcing- If you're comfortable sharing, because pay transparency is important in our profession, I have to ask my folks in Texas (North Specifically, but anywhere in TX will do): What do you make per hour for a full time staff nurse (not PRN or Travel)? It would be great to know what level hospital you're at, years experience, degree, and any certifications you carry. If you switched hospitals, what was your increase?
  2. She said that was fine. They just have to be all the same color.
  3. Another question- I didn’t see anything- but is there a dress code for the orientation?
  4. I went to IdentoGo in Allen in the Sylvan learning center. I showed up about 15 minutes early for my appointment and was done before my scheduled appointment. I had used the link to make my appointment and he said it showed it was going to the correct place. Just in case anyone hasn’t scheduled yet, that’s the place to go!
  5. I’m having someone come to my house tomorrow for the BLS course if anyone is interested. Just email me @ [email protected]
  6. Ya, I haven’t either. I saw the pre-setup thing and tried using that code. But it didn’t work.
  7. Another question- what is the specific CPR course we need to take? Is it the AHA BLS? I’m having trouble finding the right one. Anyone taking one anytime soon?
  8. Hey everyone! This is for everyone current and past- im very tattooed on my arm and asked about wearing undershirts to cover my arms during clinics. They said all white, tight undershirts. What has anyone else ordered or plan on ordering? Suggestions? also, I saw someone mention shoes previously, but don’t remember if I saw an answer. Slip resistant white shoes- where’s the best place to get them?
  9. In reading the email, it looks like you have to get it AT the bookstore.
  10. So do you have to get the titers even if you have your vaccination records?
  11. The info session I went to, they said they were still following COVID protocols. I don’t know if that changed when everything lifted, but at that time I think they said 75.
  12. Looks right to me too. I calculated mine over and over and over again. I took the TEAS twice just in case. The first time an 82, second time 93. I knew the test had a huge weight as far as the score, so wanted to make sure I had the highest possible points I could get. I would definitely suggest taking it again for the next round to get your points higher. If you could get in the mid-high 80s, you’d have a much better chance of getting in. The TEAS helps them determine where students are academically overall in critical subjects important to nursing. While yes, A&P are super important, the TEAS shows overall comprehension of multiple subjects. THANK YOU!!
  13. No idea. But I’d LOOOVE to know! I’d also like to see the stats on acceptance scores. I’m always interested in seeing rangers. I wonder how many they accepted in total? I’m just so excited still!
