For those starting the program in September, do you know if the requirements have changed? Do they now require shadowing/clinical in person experience?

It's a state facility, maximum security. I have 9 yrs union time that transfers in. Looking for feedback from experienced nurses in this area. Thanks!

I'm considering a career change into Correctional nursing. I have 10 years ICU experience but started my career later in life, so retirement and pension are important to me. Can anyone share your experience going from hospital to Corrections. Is the health insurance good coverage? I have 10 years behind me from another union job and they tell me it will transfer. How does that work? Benefits of adding that time? Thanks in advance. So much to consider!

Can you share more about the Proctored exams and white board? Looking into the program and I'm not sure how I feel about the tuition. I understand at your own pace, pay by term, but the ambiguity about the final cost makes me nervous.

Stef, I'm looking at going back for my BSN online. I've been "warned" about online programs using the pass/fail grading system. If I wanted to go for my MSN, these credits may not transfer. Have you heard anything about the GPA scale and these issues?
