  1. I have called and was told a separate acceptance/denied letter would be sent from medical campus but I have not heard of that happening so I tried to contact someone else but no one is answering. Plus I know complio deadlines and orientation is in about 2 weeks or so, so I need to know if I can get into Medical campus to start the paper work. Homestead is a hour drive but if traffic is heavy it will take longer and I can only imagine the uber fees.
  2. Thankyou!! Their is a campus for nursing in homestead as well
  3. Congratulations all!! I’ve just been accepted into the Full Time generic program but at the second campus which is far from my home. do you guys think they’ll let me switch over to medical campus?
  4. I am so ready to start! Nervous and excited but ready. In the acceptance email it said that a uniform requirement form will be given after enrollment fees are paid. Because of that I don't want to move to quick and buy the uniform on my own if their is a specific uniform they want us to buy.
  5. If I’m not mistaken we would have to wear navy blue with black shoes
  6. I know 2 people who have done the career in a year programs at Lakes tech and lindsey hopkins and they did not have the most positive things to say about it, at least when it came to nursing skills and the way they were being taught.
  7. I mostly researched their NCLEX passing rates since that is the most important thing. But if you email the school and request the nursing handbook, they will send you the pdf which has a lot more information about the program in it.
  8. I am ready to get started as well but nervous and excited at the same time! I already made a list of things I will need for nursing school.
  9. @Summer365 I am too. Originally I was going for the April start date but I chose August instead. I just took the TEAS there and passed so I am going to start filling out the documents in a week or two. The official application is due May 31st for the Fall cohort.
  10. Hello fellow future student nurses, I'm creating this forum for those interested in the LPN program at Mercy Hospital in Miami. I am still trying to determine if I want to start in April or Fall of 2022 and I am scheduled to take the TEAS there in January. Feel free to share your thoughts, experience, application process, etc.
  11. Hello all! I wanted to know what schedule you think is best for a CNA going to lpn school Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm. I’m trying to figure out what shifts are best and how many hours to work per week while having time to study and without having to give up every weekend.
  12. Hi Lolla, I took Chemistry Spring semester. I had a hard time understanding the material and thought about dropping the class but instead, I looked to outside resources such as Youtube and khan academy to help give me a better idea of what was going on. I was still a bit lost but those resources did help some. My final grade was a 'C' which may not be seen to some as the best grade, but guess what? It's still passing. The prerequisites we take will not determine if we are competent enough to be nursing students or nurses. Reach out to your school and see if there is tutoring you can go to. Don't give up on what you want to do or let this one class get you down. ❤️
  13. I’m currently taking 5 of my undergraduate classes and starting the PCA program on Monday. I’ll let you know how it goes!
  14. Hi! I plan on applying to the Fall 2022 cohort, I just like to read the forums to see what's to come. Do you have any advice on how you studied to score a 91 on the TEAS? I am currently studying to take the TEAS in October.
