Hi everyone! I am an RN in my second semester of NP school. I will be graduating august 2025. My goal is to right away start working in an urgent care. I have experience on a telemetry unit, as well as general/trauma/cardiothoracic OR. I am needing to move to a new area and unfortunately get a new job. I have three job offers. The first is full time urgent care (lower pay, BUT they know I'm in school and fully support nurses going for FNP), the second two are ED (day/evening) and ICU (split night and day). They both have higher pay and better assessment skills to learn. Has anyone else ever been in this position? I am getting married in two weeks and don't think that night shifts would be a great way to start out a marriage. Thanks for any advice!

Hi Everyone! I am an RN with one year of experience on a telemetry floor, and a year and a half of OR experience. I have been accepted into an FNP program! It is a brick and mortar school but an online program. I know I want to become an FNP one day, but do I have enough experience? Cons: I suffer from anxiety and I'm worried that school, and taking a higher stressful job may make it worse. My relationship might suffer, I would have to take out more student loans, etc. Pros: I could make more of an impact in my patient's lives, have the opportunity to learn more and be more involved, make a higher salary, etc. Any advice in making this life changing decision is appreciated. Hi, yes there is an opening in the ICU right now. And I am fortunate to live in a town with a CRNA school that I know a couple people who have attended.

Hi everyone! ? I graduated in Spring 2020 with my BSN. Since then I held a position on a telemetry unit. I recently moved and started a new job in the operating room, and I hate it. I am bored and feel like I can’t be independent nor am I learning anything new. I keep watching the CRNA’s and I feel like I’d like to go back to school. I’ve only been in the OR for three weeks. Could I move within the hospital easily? Or should I try to stick it out longer? Should I bring this up with my manager? Help!! ?
