  1. Hi there, I am just graduating as an RN but have a lot of previous experience as a MA so I'm not totally new to Healthcare. I'm looking for advice on which job to choose. I have an opportunity to work at a very busy, short-staffed ER that is about 35 minutes from my house on nights- 3 12 hr shifts. The pay is pretty good. I also have been given an opportunity to work for an inpatient psych unit that is only 15 minutes from home and is mid/evenings 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts. I have a family and small children so I'm a little worried about working night shift for this reason but think I'd get a lot of good nursing experience in an ER but also am a little scared as it is seriously understaffed. I also love Psych but don't know how I feel about working 5 days a week and have heard you tend to get stuck in Psych once you are there. Anyone have any advice to offer?
  2. @MM0428 Actually, that's one of the choices but you can also do Chem or advanced Physiology. I think ill choose Physiology. Also you need an extra Psych. I thought Health Psychology could be interesting. I got an offer at South Bend but I asked around and can't do it with sitters and such so I declined and am hoping for another round.
  3. Oh, are you Malea? If so I saw your post in the FB group. I do know that 2 valpo spots are opening up though so don't give up yet! If you don't get it, I know of 2 classes you can take for fall that will count towards your nursing degree that you would have to take snyways!
  4. How did it go for you guys?
  5. How's everyone feeling? Im getting really nervous!
  6. Awesome! How do we calculated the score?
  7. Hey guys! Fall hopeful here applying for Crown point, Valpo and South Bend. All ASN only. Score is only a 131 and im so nervous! Anyone else hate how the application isn't showing us our total amount of points?
