Can I Get My License and Find a Job with a Very Old, Pardoned and Sealed Criminal Record in Colorado?
Hey there! I'm in nursing school now and have a misdemeanor so I have done a little research on this. The nurse practice act in your state usually explains what will disqualify you. For CO: (5) Criminal convictions. Unless there is a specific statutory disqualification that prohibits an applicant from obtaining licensure, certification, or registration based on a criminal conviction, if a regulator determines that an applicant for licensure, certification, or registration has a criminal record, the regulator is governed by section 24-5-101 for purposes of granting or denying, or placing any conditions on, licensure, certification, or registration. Here is a link to 24-5-101: https://leg.colorado.gov/sites/default/files/documents/2021A/bills/2021a_012_rev.pdf I would still talk to a lawyer before going through nursing school though because of your specific situation. I wish you the best of luck and am happy that you are doing so well now!

Concordia St Paul/Portland ABSN 2021
Hey! I am in this program now. If you reach all of the admission requirements, you will get in. If they have too many people that get in for a certain semester, you will just be accepted for the next semester. I am in the second semester now and haven't had in person clinicals yet. We have 1 class with in person clinicals this term but the cohort is split for first half/second half and I am in the second half. The class is our population health class so we are at homeless shelters and giving head to toe assessments, covid tests and other random things. All other clinicals have been online. We were originally going to be in person this term but because of the COVID spike, they limited the amount of students and those spots went to 3rd/4th semester. As for labs, first term I had them 2 days a week, this term I only have them one. The program is honestly really disorganized and the first term will break you if you don't have healthy study habits. In my lab class alone (12 people), one didn't pass pharm and one dropped out. Someone in our cohort made a Discord channel for our cohort and it is extremely helpful to figure things out and form study groups. I really recommend it because students will respond faster than teachers when you have questions. Good luck!

@fitlotus oh wow! so late! how do they expect you to have all your vaccines in line and everything in a month. I swear my counselor told me 3-4 weeks from the early application date. Now I am going back looking at my email haha. I am staying with my parents right now cause I am waiting to sign a new lease until I can figure out what my life is going to look like next year.

@fitlotus I don't think anyone has heard for Fall 2021. Everyone that I have talked to that applied for the first decision date hasn't heard back yet. How long did it take them to tell you that you were on the waitlist after you applied?

Is anyone waiting to hear back for fall 2021 cohort? I applied and am still waiting to hear if I got in. If it isn't an option, I need to sign up for more prereqs for next year to apply to OHSU/Linfield and other out of state schools.
