Yeah last year when they went past the deadline they at least made a written announcement on their website. Nothing so far. I emailed them this morning. This is my 5th year I think it's on to the next career for me ?

Is anyone still pending? Woke up to still pending.

Unselected for year 4 over here ??‍♀️Such a bummer. I will remember to turn off this forums notifications for next year because as soon as everyone started saying “if you didn’t get picked by now your not in” I was real discouraged. It may have been true but I’d rather have found out on the website and been hopeful until then like everyone else ☹️

Same for me! 4th year applying. Usually at work I would be telling all my co workers I applied again and to wish me luck, but I just kept it to myself this year.

Hi guys. It was doing that for me too. You have to fill out ALL the information. Even the drop downs with the GED info even if u got a diploma. That’s what worked for me.

I'm looking now. Who would it be from? Fresno State or the nursing cas?

Hi I'm seeing on here and a pre-nursing facebook group that people are getting their acceptance letters. Does anyone know if those typically go out before the denial letters? I am a bit discouraged that I didn't get anything in the mail today..

It's a tricky situation for me though because I'm a single mom, I'm full time at my job and it pays well. I think this position would be a pay cut for me and I don't have that option right now. I'm fully ready to move in with family when I get in an RN program, but I want to be independent and save until then. My admissions advisor is having me petition to have it transfer, but we'll see what they decide.

Nice! I always thought about applying to that position for the experience. Yes I’m hoping my statistics class will transfer in then I’ll only have to pay for one class.

That’s a good plan. I work in a micro lab and I do enjoy it. My plan B was to work as a clinical lab scientist. However, I got a biology degree at FCC (w/out transfer) and my counselors didn’t tell me if I want to get a bachelors in biology it’s a whole different path, so I’d essentially be starting over. If I want to finish my bachelors degree within 2 more years my only option is public health ?

That’s great! May I ask what you got hired as at Valley Children’s? That’s good for experience and better chances at getting into an RN program. I think National would be worth it. I wanted to apply there this upcoming cohort but I have three prereqs to complete. I can take one of those at a community college (public speaking) to save me the 1500 it’ll cost to take at National. So I’ll be applying there next cohort.

You as well! No, but I just recently bought the course that's on the ATI website. It looks pretty thorough.

I honestly don't want to take any more time off because I will feel like I wasted a whole year.. I have time to study though ? Three years is just too much time passed. I wish I had pursued another degree, but I was not expecting this long of a wait. My mindset was always "not to start something else because you might get into the program next cycle and will have to stop" but that was not the case.

Love it. I'm slipping into a negative mindset. The CSU fall semester starts in August, but I am dreading it because I don't know what to do. I am really not excited about a public health degree (plus it will use my financial aid I need for a future BSN). I aced all my prerequisites, but I am going to work on getting a better TEAS score in the next few months.

I am going on my third year of not getting into any RN programs. I got an associates in biology and have taken my general education classes for a bachelors degree at my local CSU. I took a semester off from school and now I don't know what to do from here. I'm considering pursuing a bachelors in public health-health administration which I can complete in 1.5 years. I would have loved to have continued with biology, however it would take me about 3 years (essentially I'd be starting over.) What is everyone else doing or pursuing while they wait for their acceptance into a program?

Hello, I have been applying to RN programs for three years now and always get rejected. I am considering getting into debt (about 30k) and getting an LVN at a private school. I am a single mother to a four year old. I currently make 20/hour working in a lab full time. I live comfortably and have my own place, car, etc. Doing this 14 month program will mean I would only be able to work part time and move back in with my parents. Nobody wants debt, of course, but is it worth it? Has anyone gone this route? I just don't want to become the person that waits six+ years to get an RN.

Whatever works for you! You sound like you're in a secure position. I work as a lab technician for a food safety micro lab. I'm in the same boat, but I'm just ready to take a leap of faith. If you do move to Southern CA they might even have nursing schools that are less impacted!

Nice! That’s worth it if u get in. I would need to take biomedical stats, the English class, and public speaking. I could take public speaking at community college but I wouldn’t finish before the application period. So that’s be about 3300 for me I believe ☹️ After three times your guaranteed a spot?

Have you taken the pre reqs for national? I was looking into applying but the pre reqs specific to them would have to be taken there and u don’t get financial aid. So your paying 1300+ and your not guaranteed to get in. But yeah I hate the thought of people getting in after 1-2 years at FCC when people with great gpas and TEAS scores are still waiting after 3-4 years. They should take the amount of years applying into consideration.

Thank you! I have been applying everywhere I can. I am already accepted into an LVN program. It’s private so it will put me in debt but I’m okay with that as long as it helps me reach my ultimate goal. I also applied to radiology this year but even if I get in I think I won’t go that route. That’s two years and all my financial aid to do something that’s not my goal.

I’m a single mom so I just feel SO pressured to get my career going. Plus every year I always regret that I didn’t use the year to further myself. I think I’m doing the LVN this year.. this way when I do get into an RN program it’ll be a bridge and only one year long ?

I was "unselected" for the third time this year. Does anyone else have a plan B? I am looking into either going to a private school to get an LVN or applying to National University. I can't just sit around and wait for the next application period again. Especially if the outcome is going to be unselected again ?
