  1. I submitted my application for CRNA school a few weeks ago and received an email from a lady last week asking me to schedule my drug test and fingerprint screen. I was curious, is this standard for all applicants or is this a sign that they may ask me for an interview once the results come back. I had never heard of a drug test and fingerprint screen being a standard before the interview/potential acceptance but I didn’t want to speculate and get my hopes up for no reason LOL! TIA!
  2. So November 1st is technically when everything is due.. the only things that will be missing are verification of completing my BSN which will be done by mid December, and then sitting for my CCRN in February. My main concern more or less is whether they consider new grad RNs the year after they graduate from nursing school. I started working in the Neuro ICU almost immediately after I graduated in December 2020 and would have roughly 15 months ICU experience by May 2022, but whether that’s enough is my biggest fear. The thing is, I’ve known becoming a CRNA has been my end goal since before I started nursing school and so I’m at a point in life where I don’t want to waste time and I just want to get into grad school as quickly as possible.
  3. Hi, I am currently a new grad working in the neuro ICU at UK hospital. I am working on my BSN and will be done in December of 2021. I am planning on taking the GRE in June, will have my ACLS and PALS by July and will be able to take my CCRN in February of 2022. Do I have any chance of getting into the May 2022 cohort if I explain that I will have all of these things done by the program start date? Just wanting to know what my chances are. I have a decent GPA (3.3 in nursing classes) and made B's in my prerequisite classes. Any info/recommendations?
