  1. in the rooms has lots of virtual meetings
  2. I'm currently working in LTC. Found a facility that was willing to work with me. When applying, just be upfront and honest about your restrictions and let them know all you have done and continue to do to prove you are worthy of employment. good luck
  3. yes, you can work until a decision is made. they take a long time to process so take advantage of it. hang in there
  4. Complete your board required nursing education to get that off your shoulders. Then, fill our applications. honesty is best! talk with an attorney, often they provide a free consult. I don't know if this helps, but keep you chin up
  5. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I seriously would consult an attorney for advice. I think it would be very helpful for you, especially an attorney who defends nurses! I am in Wisconsin. I did have a couple LTC facilities turn me down with the restrictions but I just kept trying and filling out tons of applications. Get yours out there, eventually you will find a place that will be compassionate and caring and will hire you. In the meantime, breathe!! consult with an attorney and take their advice. Let me know how things turn out. I do feel you would have better luck in LTC however. hugs Nurselife1212
  6. I received two offers from long term care facilities, one of which I would be an admission/discharge nurse. then also received an offer from a psychiatric facility
  7. just a quick update, my prayers were answered today. I had 3 jobs offers! I'm so thankful
  8. Just needed to vent, but why does this monitoring program process take so long? I signed my contract early Feb this year and still haven't heard a word. I want to get started, this is brutal. I'm having a very hard time finding employment as I have told them during the interview that I will be in a monitoring program. trying to keep positive, but it sure is hard when faced with so much rejection. any other thoughts? I have tried contacting the program to find out when I can start, left voice-mails and emails but have not had any response. just really frustrated . I can work but just can't seem to find anyone willing to employ me

  10. I am very willing to commute. I'm not sure how long the narcotics restrictions are for, 6 mons-12 mons?
  11. no narcotics, no home health, schools, agency nursing and have supervision
  12. thanks!
  13. I tried a couple LTC facilities, a psychiatric hospital, an admission/discharge nurse, and addiction medicine clinic. so far, no one wants to hire a nurse in a monitoring program. I have also applied at MCO, dialysis and a plasma center. waiting to hear from tbem
  14. hi, how can I contact you?
  15. not sure I have what it takes. had multiple interviews, all turned me down when I told them I'm in a monitoring program. most say, reapply when your restrictions are lifted. I don't know how you have the determination to contine
  16. sent you an email
  17. no criminal charges that I am aware of. thank you, you have been very helpful
  18. thanks for all your advice!! In my program, it says even if I sign it, it's not active until they sign it. I'm still waiting for them to sign. it doesn't state anything about not being able to work, just outlines my restrictions. so, do I continue to try to find work?
  19. How long before anyone landed a nursing job? How long after one is accepted into the program until one receives confirmation of the program. I feel like I'm in limbo, no job yet, no health insurance, and I need to work. anyone have any advice?
  20. should I send you a message?
  21. anyone here ever been through the board process and assistant program in Wisconsin? I'm looking for help and advice on this process. thank you
  22. thank you for that information. I'll start looking into it. so, do you tell them during interview that you are in a monitored program? do they ask why? just trying to figure this all out
  23. thanks so much for the encouraging words. what kind of nursing job did you get? I don't even know where to start
  24. thanks for the encouraging words. I'm just really scared of finding employment again. I'm so ashamed of what happened and haven't figured out how to tell potential employers regarding my restrictions. thoughts?
  25. just looking for advice from anyone who has traveled this road
