  1. Wait… so you took/completed the chem/Orgo prerequisite and they’re telling you you can’t use it? That doesn’t make any sense? This makes me nervous because the guy emailing me was making no sense and wouldn’t answer my questions after 3 emails. He would just reply with “ Great! Thank you for this information. It is received.“ I asked multiple questions like did they receive my transcript? Will I still find out this week? Is this going to mess up my review process? And that’s the answer I got… They need to get it together. This whole process has been a mess.
  2. Hi! Your BLS isn’t required for the application. You just need it before the program starts. It is a discouraging process but don’t give up! I applied to Rutgers and Miami last year and didn’t get in. This year I only applied to Thomas Jefferson, GW, Rutgers and was holding off for Montana and Colorado but just got admitted to TJU. I believe for some people it’s even their third time applying to Rutgers. Most people I know have applied 2 or 3 times. Just use the year in between to improve your application. Take courses to boost your GPA, I took my EMT course this past Summer and I think that helped a lot. I could be wrong about this but applying as soon as the apps open gives you a better chance too because there are more spots available in the program. Don’t give up! You got this!
  3. Hi everyone! I also got received an email stating I was missing 1 or 2 documents. My application was complete and I sent them a screenshot of my Rutgers portal with everything checked off. I’m honestly a little frustrated. They told me I was missing one class, which I took last Summer. Then they followed up asking which of my classes applied to two classes I was supposedly missing but have taken. They seem very disorganized. I’m definitely being dramatic but this process is off putting. They have my unofficial and official transcripts I don’t understand why they can’t look them up? This is my second time applying and there were no issues last year. I got accepted to one program already but have been waiting for Rutgers since we were supposed to hear back this week.
  4. I honestly wouldn't pay too much attention to that. It has the date our app was originally due and I remember hearing/ or seeing that we'd hear back in early April.
  5. Its under "application Dates for Fall 2021 Enrollment-all transfers" https://admissions.newark.rutgers.edu/applying/application-and-decision-dates?_ga=2.98914078.1444675254.1617033095-1331658908.1608174545
  6. I haven't heard back either. Online it says we'll find out by April 15th.
  7. Lucky!! Congratulations! I'm still waiting. When did you submit your app?
  8. Hi Noelle, When you're inputting your grades into NursingCAS, you input which ones you want. I believe Miami only lets you retake one prerequisite, so whatever is higher will be accepted. In terms of GPA, they take every grade and incorporate it into your GPA. Meaning they take both the class you originally took and the retaken course. "NursingCas does their own GPA calculation since they do not apply grade forgiveness policies that universities may use. They take ALL courses (including repeats and course failures) into account and use that average, so your transcript GPA may look different than the NursingCas GPA. " Hope this answers your question!
  9. Does anyone know anything about the GPAs on your transcript vs GPAs on NursingCAS? I received a 3.0 for my undergrad and a 4.0 at my local community college (on transcripts) but when they averaged out on NursingCAS it came out to a 2.99 which honestly freaks me out because UM wants a minimum 3.0 overall. I do have a high science GPA. I'm going to reach out to both NursingCAS and UM but just wanted to. Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed this.
  10. Hi again! I don't have any outstanding pre-reqs. I finished my last ones last semester. You sound like you're killing it though! Keep up the good work! Thank you, fingers crossed over here too!! ?
  11. Hi queenrus! Thank you for answering so quickly! IDK if this is answering directly to your post. I got the cane link today (3 days after I submitted). Kind of scary but hopefully will have good news soon!
  12. How long did it take you guys to receive your canelink after you received the email of your app being received?
