  1. Thanks! I'm definitely so happy and grateful for getting in. It's just a wild ride. I'm also from the east coast so it would have been amazing to experience the pacific northwest, but oh well. Not part of the plan for right now I guess! Best of luck to you ❤️ Thank you, wishing the best for you too!! Everyone on this thread is incredibly accomplished and deserving of all the acceptances in the world. Good luck!
  2. LOL, outright rejected. Rejected from OHSU ABSN too. Johns Hopkins it is.
  3. That is so awesome. I would love to take advantage of that! Compared to some other forums I've been a part of/trolled, this one is by far the nicest group of people I've come into contact with. You guys are really amazing and super positive. Thanks!
  4. Haha, I'm actually re-watching it now! As far as program, I only applied to MDE for both Columbia and JHU. Thank you for the insight on which to pick, that is good to know about the specialty, and I don't know exactly what I want to specialize in, so this makes a difference!
  5. This is super helpful info and I really appreciate all of it! Especially since no one in my family is in nursing so other than congratulating me they don't have much in the way of advice. So seriously, thank you!
  6. Sweet, yeah I feel you on Philly, it's also a super fun city (amazing music scene and always sunny apparently). I'm from NY and I went to school in Jersey so I'm actually trying to get a little away and so JHU is more enticing than Columbia haha. Absurd about the other schools. I was SO surprised about JHU because I was getting rejected everywhere else haha. I honestly didn't think I was going to get into a program but when all hope seemed lost I got the acceptance. I think for me it was a little weird background. I studied History and environmental studies and thought I was going to law school but then some life events led me to nursing. Not the traditional route by any means haha. But that's why I appreciate JHU, because they saw the potential in me and had enough trust in my academic background to give me a shot.
  7. To be honest I'm not sure. Right now I'm really focused on getting my master's in nursing and seeing where that takes me. I don't have really any healthcare experience (studied History in undergrad haha) so I really want to just get some experience/schooling under my belt before I know exactly where my path will lead me.
  8. I was just admitted into Columbia off the waitlist yesterday (wild). Now I'm deciding between Columbia and JHU. Anyone else in this boat? Also, fun fact, these are the only two schools I was admitted to LOL. I got outright rejected from OHSU Ashland ABSN, Norwich ABSN, Northeastern, UW ABSN, and waitlisted for Pacific Lutheran, Regis Loretto, and another one that I can't remember. This process is absolutely insane.
  9. I was also admitted off the waitlist! I got a call from ya boy José on Tuesday and got my acceptance letter last night. Good luck to everyone else still waiting!
  10. Also received my interview invitation today. I'm pretty torn because I got denied from the Ashland ABSN program and accepted into Johns Hopkins MSN program. It's hard for me to turn down an accelerated masters in nursing for a 3-year BSN program, but I love Ashland and I've wanted to spend significant time in Oregon for a while (I'm from the east coast and my partner grew up in Ashland). I also know how much people want to go to OHSU so I'm really sorry if this is coming across as insensitive. I hope everyone is doing well in their own process and some good news is coming your way whether from OHSU or elsewhere.
  11. Just got the email for an interview invitation for OHSU Ashland BSN program.
  12. This is a really dumb question but does anyone know how many months this program is? Is it two academic years and a Summer in between?
  13. Thanks homie, and thank you again for all your help on this forum. You've been a real one! Good luck to you on your journey!
  14. That's so wild! I'd love to chat, I wish there was a private way I could give you my contact info? I'm definitely going to reserve my spot, I can't imagine I'll get in to any other schools any better (I'm waitlisted at Columbia and everywhere else I applied isn't as good as JHU).
  15. You too my friend. Life works in mysterious ways. Good luck on your journey!
  16. Didn't even get an interview for OHSU ABSN, but I just found out I got into John's Hopkins MSN! So, I'm thinking I'm going to pull the BSN application for OHSU because I'm probably not going to get an interview for that either haha.
  17. Thanks! Turns out they sent my info to a completely different email that I barely use so I never checked. Gotta update those email preferences LOL.
  18. I'm not sure about that tbh, I just know that if you didn't get one today you're absolutely not out of the running at all.
  19. I spoke to an admissions representative today and she said that they are sending out admissions status updates to super small batches of candidates at a time and that if you didn't receive an email today you can expect one in the upcoming weeks. So, don't worry!!
  20. I still haven't heard from NYU to give me my ID to check on my application status ? I did only apply by the priority deadline though so I guess it might take longer to get back to me.
  21. Thank you so much for this info, you have been SUCH a help in this process. That makes sense, so if anyone gets an email this week please let us know! Sucks that this process seems kinda grey and not transparent, but you have seriously been such a help. Thank you!
  22. Oh, wait I see the email I got yesterday about my application being submitted and I need to wait for them to send me an email that will give me the info I need. I guess since I submitted my application on the deadline maybe it will take a little longer for them to get back to me. Once I can check my status I will definitely let you know what I see. Good luck in the meantime!
  23. OK I see that, but how did you get a NetID? I have one for when I took classes at NYU but that doesn't work for the application portal.
  24. Where would you check your checklist? I can let you know if I'm having trouble if I can even find where it is haha.
