I wanted to start this forum for all applying for the UF BSN-DNP for Fall 2023. I know applications just opened up last month but wanted to start early! I personally applied for the Fall 2021 cycle, sadly did not make it. The email I received stated there were too many applicants that cycle. So after a move to ER nursing from med surg and raising my babies just a little more; I have decided to give this another go!!

Exactly. This BS. They should have known today was a holiday so I don't accept that as an excuse. If they are this lacking support to make these decisions then why have it open. I sure wish the luck for those who get in, if this is any indication of how the program is ran, you will need it.

So I'm just gonna go ahead and assume I didn't get in. Not looking for a pity party just freaking over this wait. Did they really only release one round of decisions? This just doesn't make sense to me and it's the first time I've ever heard of a school doing it this way. I'm tired of waiting around for a dang denial.

Did anyone else find out? I applied FNP part time.

Hey guys I need some advice. So there are a couple other schools I would like to apply for, granted I'm denied here, how do you go about asking thf references to send another one? IDK why but I feel embarrassed asking but these references are the best I can get currently. Does nursing CAS transfer them over to a new app or do they need to resend them?

Ah OK. See mine was submitted 2/24 but not verified till 3/9 so I'm unsure of which date they will honor as it listed v both

By submitted do you mean verified or the original submission date? Just curious! Congratulations btw!!

I don't understand why they have the due by date for claiming if they haven't even told us yet ?

I'm kinda getting tired of this. I mean I already was but just annoyed now. I'm in the middle of a move with two under four, birthday is coming up for the three yearold, works been kickin' my butt working overtime at that. This decision determines if I start travel nursing as well. They need to just get on it. This whole sending in batches is asinine. I don't understand it all. Sorry for the rant but I've been pretty damn patient LOL ?

The wait is killing me!!

I applied part time FNP..nothing yet. My residence info hasn't even been updated like some people's have so I am started to feel that means a denial is coming my way. For people who've been accepted? Does your last name begin with the beginning of the alphabet? Also was your residence info updated?

I'm also praying all of my application overlooks my GPA. I had kickass references so hoping it carries weight. I really really hope they were staggered. I applied FNP I did not see any FNP acceptances on here at least. So here's to hoping.

Ugh I wanna know!! I swear between trying to find a house and waiting on these decisions I'm on thin ice here!! I only applied to this school, which is so unlike me, so I'm feeling a little discouraged of course with them extending the decisions timeframe. I know my GPA is less than competitive, I know I've read they look at the whole picture but ugh ??

I did not! Which is totally unlike me, I normally apply to at least two! UF has been a dream school of mine since I was 12! It's kinda all or nothing this go around LOL hoping to get in and get going. I live about an hour to a hour and a half away from gainesville!

Honestly it sounds like you and I are very similar! I applied to FNP but have 3 going on 4 years experience and my GPA is right above a 3.. I'm so nervous I hope so much they look at everything and not just GPA!! Good luck friend!

Well it looks like I'm probably out of the running. There was an issue with a transcript. I had it prority shipped last Thursday they still don't have it and are telling me it's gonna take up to 10 days after they have it to verify everything. I'm so upset I've literally been working on this application since December. ?

I had an issue with a transcript and had to resend! Spent near 30 bucks to get it there through priority. Did this last Thursday and they haven't received it. I'm pretty upset. Just hoping my app makes it into the running ?

Same! I got kicked back. Something to do with a transcript! I just paid 25 bucks to have it shipped asap again!! I'm so sad I hope this doesnt change anything!
