  1. I totally agree with you. This behaviors are unacceptable and should be called out whenever it happens. I have been on the receiving end of this type of behaviors from every race and I always called it out. I believe that your are being paid to work and that work needs to be done efficiently. But I have notice way too many times how people overlooked this types of behaviors when it is coming from non black race. No one is perfect. But how come it only gets notice when some people from a certain race does it
  2. I thought this was a professional platform. Using words like " what a bunch of crab" is disrespectful. You don't have to agree with what she said but you can be professional and respectful about it. Just FYI
  3. My thoughts exactly. People will easily say white privilege doesn't exist because they have not experience it. Imagine being turned down by a white patient who wants a white nurse. Those of you that keep saying white privilege does not exist or you don't experience white privilege, how about try being black for a day and see what it feels like.
  4. It's really sad that new grad have to go through issues like this at work. In my case it was opposite. I was the only black new grad among an all white co- workers, and they made my life a living hell. I was treated as an outsider. Nothing I did was good enough for them. When they give me handover report they purposely make sure that am being left with a lot of work to do. And if I dare complain, they all gang up against me. I cry myself home every time I finish work. I finally had enough and approach the unit manager who is also a white woman and HR also white. Nothing was done about the situation. It went from bad to worst that they started lying against me. To cut the long story short I ended up quiting the job and got a better job with more civilized co-workers who cherished diversity. So my advise to you is to not take the nonsense that I took. Make sure you get your lawyers involve and leave that hostile environment for your mental health.
