  1. Hi everyone! Fingers crossed for us all! Just curious is anyone planning on moving closer to Napa if they get in?
  2. Hi all, Just received a rejection letter to my personal email. This is the 4th school I applied to and didn't get in. This year has been really competitive, but I am not giving up hope. To everyone else that is in the same boat as I am-- remember it's not if we get into nursing school but when!
  3. @21_futurenurse Hi! Following up to see if you found any more information regarding the clinical hours for the program! I know that GCU is an accredited nursing school, but not sure if we would be able to practice nursing in California since there is about a 400 hour clinical requirement difference. Do you know if the traditional BSN program at GCU completes 400 or 800 hours? I have heard of nurses completing the traditional BSN at GCU and practice nursing in California. Also, are you all planning on completing the HESI on campus in Arizona?
  4. Aw man, I haven’t heard anything either. For those that were placed on the waitlist, do you mind sharing your points? Just want to get an idea of how competitive it was. Thank you and congrats to those that got in!
  5. Im thinking late April / early May we will hear back!
  6. Yes, I totally agree I am remaining optimistic as well! I was placed on the waitlist too. I read last years thread and it looks like they indicated that they are not at liberty to disclose our placement/rank on the waitlist. Relying on faith and hope! Best of luck to us all!
  7. @FutureRn244 hmm... this thread pertains to Concordia University Irvine in Southern California. I don't think this school would be accepting applications for this term if that was the case.
  8. Maybe you're confused with Concordia University-Portland (CUP). Here's a link I found: https://www.cui.edu/aboutcui/news/press-releases/view-press-release/ArticleId/256/statement-about-concordia-university-portland-closure#:~:text=IRVINE%2C Calif.,the grief of this news.
  9. @tl2 Yes, on page 4 of the application packet it states under part D to "Place a checkmark next to any category for which you are qualified to receive points. Enter your points for that category in the column labeled My Points." @Bast I'm pretty nervous..I applied with 84.5 points. Upon reading past threads it sounds like 88+ is the safe zone. However, there are more seats open during the fall cycle. I thought this pandemic would weed out the amount of people applying, but it sounds like more people are trying to get into nursing this year.
  10. Hey everyone, After confirming your acceptance for the interview, do they send you a confirmation email indicating that your interview spot is confirmed?
  11. Hi Future Nurses, Starting a forum for the Fall 2021 cycle at Santa Ana College! I wanted to start this to keep in contact with each other and share any information during our application process. Best of luck to you all and I look forward to hearing from you!
  12. @el123 It's best to e-mail them at [email protected] so they can make note of this for the application.
  13. Question - Do we need to complete the FAFSA? The deadline to renew for the upcoming school year is coming up soon.
  14. I will be applying to this term too! Wishing everyone the best of luck. I received an email earlier this week stating that we would be notified via email by the second week of March. Decision letters by the 2nd week of April. Although as you mentioned, last year's thread indicated late February and end of March. I wonder how competitive this year will be!
  15. Hi everyone, I'm also applying this term! Best of luck to you all!!
