  1. I took the Kaplan for NAU in January. All I can say is use the purple study guide for the science and review A and P. I know people have said in the past that the study guide was not helpful. I disagree. I used it for every section. Don't bother with quizlet. Good luck!
  2. The above post that quotes the one by fllynr is truly the most helpful. Know your A and P AND general science. I found the Kaplan study guide to be very helpful for this. The guide also was the most accurate when it came to format of the test, especially the reading and writing sections. Getting familiar with what they are looking for in the answers really made a difference for me. Personally, and after talking to others, managing the anxiety that comes with this test seems to be the biggest hurdle. I recommend finding a way to deal with that. For me it involves being as prepared as possible, early bed time routine the week prior, EXERCISE and not cramming the night or morning of. Hope this helps and good luck!
  3. Good work! I was accepted! Hope you get a spot.
  4. Oh no! So sorry! Didn't mean to cause any stress. ?
  5. As far as the ABSN at NAU goes:
  6. To the best of my knowledge: 4-6 weeks after the deadline, which was Jan 15th. Nothing to do but wait.
  7. Right on. Hurry up and wait!
  8. 4.0. You? Disappointed in my science performance as well. Changed some answers to wrong ones. That would be some advice I'd give to future takers- seems the first choice you make is the right one. Trust your gut.
  9. Not as good as I hoped. Overall: 82% Reading 86% Writing 92% Math 75% Science75% I am particularly disappointed with my math score, as I was scoring in the nineties on all the practice tests I took. Oh well. Fingers crossed
  10. Congratulations! Good luck on getting in!
  11. Congratulations! Good luck on getting in!
  12. I Good luck to you! Let us know how it goes.
  13. Thank you all for the input. It is definitely tough to sift through all the material. I guess my approach will be to skim over the general science questions and since I just finished both AP classes, I feel pretty confident about that section. Thank you for the writing resources nursegirl105. Awesome. Good luck to you and maybe see ya in class ?
  14. Exactly what I heard as well. So, I will continue studying those more general science questions as I am applying to NAU. ?
  15. Hi! Thank you for sharing these valuable resources. It seems the science questions are all anatomy and phys in your question set. I've heard there are a lot of general science questions. Meiosis, mitosis, general chem...?
