  1. Thank you. Do you know if she had to do this before she applied? Or did the BON contact her when she tried to sign up for the NCLEX.
  2. It says “the New York State Education Department (NYSED) will review your background including your prior conviction(s). NYSED decides on a case by case basis whether your prior criminal conviction(s) will disqualify you from being licensed as a nurse in New York.” I am not sure how to get it expunged or maybe try and have it sealed. I’m going to call the court on Monday and hopefully they can help.
  3. Hi I recently graduated from school in westchester county NY. I’m 30 years old and have a dui from 10 years prior. It is a misdemeanor. My question is, has anyone else been in this situation? And has anyone been denied a license because of this? Thanks in advance!
