I didn’t get in either. I have 3 medical certifications and a 3.7 as well. It is what it is at this point. Gotta love how competitive nursing school is. Sike.

I’m really sorry to hear you felt this way! I personally felt the interview was very odd. It was only 45 minutes and to me felt like it would be really hard to get a good idea of people in such a short time especially when we only got one individual question. My individual question was “if you could be invisible or fly which would you chose and why?” This threw me off completely, and I answered it in the best way I possibly could but it still felt scary that that was the only question I got to answer individually. As far as people edging you out goes I think that only reflects poorly on them. Personally I think a huge part of the group questions was to see how everyone interacting with one another working as a group because team work is a huge part of nursing, and if they were being over powering ultimately I don’t think that reflects a team player. Keep a positive attitude and remember no matter what happens you should be proud of yourself for getting an interview. I know for me this was my first application and first interview, so all I can do is learn from it if I don’t get accepted.

Yes, just one individual question! The interview portion was a very small amount of time in my opinion! It was a good experience but I am definitely curious how they further make a decision on who to admit based off of what the interview experience was like. Here’s hoping it goes well for all of us!

Finished the whole process today! I think I did well but it’s hard to say! For the interview you are put in groups and they give you a couple scenarios and you discuss and answer as a group. Then we all got one individual question to answer at the end, but I tell ya what our individual questions were nothing on the list of nursing questions to prepare for haha! So just be genuine and relaxed. It was actually very laid back

I did get a response about how many people they interview vs accept, and she said they interview about 225-250 people and about 110-120 are accepted in the program.

I’m with you guys, I’m nervous! Especially because I’ve never done a group interview, I’ve only ever had one on one interviews so I’m not quite sure what to expect or how that looks! But I know I need prep now haha!

CU Denver Traditional program 2021
I do have one family member down in Colorado which is nice. But the school I currently attend does not have its own nursing program, and so I pretty much had to look for programs just at all other schools because I didn’t have my own schools program to apply to. And I fell in love with Colorado a couple years ago when I went down for a trip, it feels a lot like Washington but is also a chance to branch out from my hometown. Not to mention colorado seems to have a lot better application processes than Washington state programs do. Our programs look at GPA, an entrance exam and some have an interview, and I just liked that CU took so much more into account. Yeah I’m really not sure how a group zoom interview would look but I’m curious to know and how to prepare for that and how many different students would be in one interview group! Hopefully we’ll get more information soon! Are you living in Boulder right now? I feel like a lot of students are there

https://www.colorado.edu/career/frequently-asked-professional-school-interview-questions Here is a link for their site that I found possible interview questions, so that is kind of helpful! I too am very nervous about the interviews being on zoom. Does anyone know, I know I saw in one of the emails it said it would be small group interviews, what that looks like exactly? I know all the way from Washington state which would be a big move for me if I got in. And I have so many questions about housing and locations and all that since I don’t live there and am not familiar but I can deal with those issues if I make it through the interview.

Hi Guys! I am from Washington State. I just received my email today stating I got an interview for the nursing program. I’m hoping to chat with other students on here and hopefully get to know some people that I could end up in the program with possibly, fingers crossed, since I don’t live in Colorado! Also hoping to share possible interview questions with one another to help everyone prepare.
