  1. Has anyone used Excelsior credit by exam for prerequisites? specifically for statistics? I am curious how difficult it is to get a B or Higher. I'm pretty good at math and I also took a year of statistics in my undergrad, but its more than 5 years old.
  2. Hey everyone, I have a similar question to @Sky4595. I was accepted into Johns Hopkins and rejected at NYU. Both programs start at the end of January and would require me to make a decision before I likely will hear back from Columbia. Columbia is my top choice but I'm feeling less confident about the prospects of being accepted after not getting into NYU. I guess its hard to really say definitively which program is more competitive. But I'm just feeling very helpless and perplexed about what to do in this situation. My stats are probably average, in terms of GPA. I think my application strengths are in my healthcare related experience, LOR and essays. Here's to hoping that Columbia takes a more holistic view of candidates than NYU. However, at the end of the day I realize I'm incredibly lucky to have been accepted into a program already and one that is great in many ways. I just feel, and I'm sure many of you can attest to this, that after spending so much time preparing to apply to school (never ending prerequisites, essays, LOR, work experience etc), it's worth waiting for what feels right. Anyway thanks for coming to my TedTalk/ dear diary moment. If anyone has any insight or suggestions on what to do I'm all ears!
  3. Hey, I also recieved a rejection today, I was pretty surprised as I was accepted into John Hopkins MSN entry program. I am curious if anyone can speak to how competitive the program at NYU compares to JHU as well as Columbia. Columbia is my top choice but I do not want to risk losing my spot at JHU if I don't have chance of getting into Columbia. The rejection from NYU has definitely shaken my confidence. Thanks!
