RCC School of Nursing Spring 2021
N11 students do not, I repeat DO NOT forget to read your skills book!! A lot of good info and lots of test questions pulled from there. Read from the very beginning to the very end. Be very familiar with it.

What I always suggest is to get the passports (homework) done first, then read; read as much as you can, watch videos, talk to other students about the material. The questions on tests are not like what we had in pre-reqs, most of the questions are more general. So, as long as you read, you should be OK. There are a few things here and there that you can use flash cards for but not too much. It’s not about memorizing, it’s understanding the material and then being able to choose the best option w/ each question. Do lots and lots of practice questions on prepu and Kaplan. Also, READ the explanation as to WHY that’s the right answer AND why the other options are wrong. It’s just as important to know WHY it’s wrong.

That’s hard to say, cause each semester is different. The first semester they did not assign anything through the resources, but in semester 2 they did. I believe it was through the med. surge book - brunner/suddarth book, OB book - Ricci, and the pharmacology book. I can’t say for sure with semesters 3 and 4 ?♀️ I highly suggest you purchase the bundles.
