  1. Everyone that I have talked with said it is a very pleasant experience, and all the interviewers are super nice. Be prepared not to be interviewed by someone from your specialty track. My interview was done by a single person who took notes and reported back to the committee. For me this was less stressful compared to having a panel of interviewers. Be prepare to have scenarios to answer questions of “tell me about a time when...”. These seem like very popular questions in order to engage the applicant. With these questions they might want different scenarios for each question. I also googled a lot about NP interview questions looking for tips and hints. Good luck to all who are interviewing next week! Take a deep breath and know that you have made this far, and they are interested in you.
  2. I know all too well how discouraging this is, I was denied for the Fall 2020 class. I spoke with admissions just as you are planning on doing and I reapplied. I was accepted this time for the Fall 2021 class, and I think it makes it that much better. Good luck in the future!
  3. I am a current employee at Duke. As an employee we get the option for early decision. My application was due by early November to qualify for the early decision. I interviewed for the ACNP program the Monday after Thanksgiving. I found out on 12/18 that I have been admitted to the program. I applied for non-early decision Fall 2020 and was denied. Decisions for the non decisions was around the last week of March and the first week of April. Good luck to everyone, and will be happy to answer any questions since I have been through the process.
