  1. I was in the class of Dec 2022, when I was accepted I was non-immune to hepb and varicella, but in the process of getting my vaccinations. As long as you are in-process of either being vaccinated OR waiting for your titer, you can still be accepted. Hope that helps.
  2. Hi everyone, if anyone is applying for the Spring 2024 semester (December 2025 graduation), I created a new thread for it, link is below ? https://allnurses.com/malcolm-x-Spring-ADN-t753711/

  4. I didn't see a thread for this yet so I am going to go ahead and create one. This thread is for those applying to the Malcolm X ADN program for Spring 2024 (December 2025 graduation date). I myself graduated with my ADN in December 2022 from MXC, but my significant other is in the application process for the program right now.
  5. I sent a request ???(I’m Megan)
  6. I GOT IN TOO! So glad we have this little group, LOL. I am so excited!! Congrats, guys, we did it!
  7. Guys! My medical documents FINALLY say “completed”. Finally some movement. I suspect we will be hearing updates soon ??????????
  8. Hey guys! Hope you all had a good holiday. Have any of you heard anything? Any changes in your CCC account?
  9. Mine says in progress but my prerequisites are all done as of two semesters ago. mine switched from “applied” to “in progress” after I had emailed them to confirm they received the ATI TEAS results (I had a name change and wanted to make sure my stuff all got applied to me). They responded back and said my items were updated, and that’s when the status changed.
  10. NVM my response, I was confused...
  11. No news here ? app still says “in process” and medical docs still say “incomplete” in my CCC selective applications page.
  12. I have Aetna through my employer. Literal same ?
  13. How’s everyone holding up?
  14. Does anyone else’s application show “in progress”? Mine has said this since Thursday.
  15. Do any of you still need any of your coreqs? I still need Microbiology, I can’t decide if (if I get into the nursing program this semester) I should take it during the first semester, during the Summer, or during the second semester. I took Biology 226 over the Summer and let me tell you... that condensed class seemed to drag on and on since we met 3x/week on zoom. Synchronously for 4 hours at that ? I can’t decide if taking micro would be worse during the Summer or with a nursing class...
  16. Exactly what mine shows. I’m even having dreams about this. I had a dream that 80% of the slots were full already ? Obvs not the case haha.
  17. Morton has one too but I hear it’s more competitive than CCC and it also requires the HESI. They work on a point system for admission.
  18. I’m holding out hope that people are putting it off due to COVID. I guess we shall see! I read somewhere (can’t remember if it was here or on one of the old threads) that there were like 700 applicants! Whether or not all 700 actually completed everything is beyond me. My GPA is 4.0 and I scored “advanced” on my TEAS, so im hoping with everything I have that I get in! I also read in one of the other threads (it was for fall) that people started getting accepted exactly one week later. I hope that’s the case this time around and that the Thanksgiving holiday doesn’t hold things up too much!
  19. My background check now says “complete” in my CCC selective applications page! it still says “incomplete” for medical documents... should I email them about that? I know that ----------------- and --------------------- handle all things CastleBranch. Also, does anyone know who reviews the things IN castlebranch? Is it CastleBranch or does someone from CCC have to go in and review docs?
  20. I totally meant to respond to the other person, sorry about that! I’m tired ?
  21. I’m so excited that I made the deadline! Does anyone know when acceptance letters start going out, or how we receive those? If you don’t get in do they send a rejection letter? So anxious!
  22. Here you go - from the selective application page. If you click “admissions cumulative GPA” it takes you here.
  23. The packet they sent out to applicants states: ” SubmitofficialhighschoolorGEDtranscriptstotheOfficeoftheRegistraratMalcolmXCollege. If you previously submitted your high school or GED transcripts to another City Colleges of Chicago campus, you must still submit a copy to Malcolm X College. Additionally, if you possess an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or terminal degree (I.e. PHD), you are still required to submit your official high school or GED transcripts to Malcolm X College.”
  24. Does anyone know what tuition is for the first semester of the nursing program? On the CCC website I see something that says around $2400, but the first and second semesters are considerably lighter (7 credit hours) compared to the third and fourth semesters. My financial aid grant came through but it's based on my current semester so it won't cover it - I just want to plan financially.
  25. Whew! The TEAS wasn't too bad! I only studied for 3 days, I've got a newborn and didn't get much sleep last night. I was extremely worried. I spend 1h22mins on the exam and scored 82.7% overall and 85.1% in reading. Science sucked, it was my lowest at 74.5%. I'm glad I made up for it in other areas. All I have to do is submit the rest of my medical forms today and cross my fingers!
