Emory Hospitals in Atlanta, GA
I just got hired as a PRN float nurse for Emory. Yaaaay. The program that I am in (ESP) I have to pick 3 Emory Hospitals to float between. I just don't know which hospitals to pick and which to avoid. I am located centrally in Atlanta so most of Emory hospitals are about 20-45 mins away. These are the hospitals that are within my area, so if you have any info (good or bad) about the hospitals, please let me know. Thanks guys. Emory University- Clifton Road Emory University Midtown- Peachtree Road Emory Decatur- N Decatur Road Emory St Joseph- Peachtree Dunwoody Road Emory Hillandale- Dekalb Medical Pkway BTW, I would be floating in the areas: Med-Surg/Telemetry/Step-down.

Registering kids for school while traveling
Hey guys anyone get a hard time registering kids for school while traveling? I have traveled with my kids before but this is the first time that my son is old enough to have to go to school. The school here has really been giving push back. They tell me I need 3 proof of residence to register them for school. They are asking for voter registration, car insurance, utilities, etc. All the things that I DON’T have because I am not a resident of their state and because I am in an Air Bnb. I have given them my travel nurse contract, my rental statement, I even got a letter from my agency HR that I am there temporarily. They just say “I’m sorry, if you can’t provide proof (3 ways) that you are in this school zone with we won’t be able to register you.” They are very dismissive when I try to explain the situation. Anyhoo, it has been almost 2 weeks and they keep refusing to register my son. Anyone had an issue with this before??? What can I do?? ??♀️

Requirements for CPR instructor
Okay I see. When you say a relationship, do u mean in general (like someone that I know/work with) or relationship as far as some healthcare background?

Requirements for CPR instructor
Thanks for the feedback. I am in Georgia and I don’t see anywhere that you have to be in healthcare either. I believe it must be on your performance during training to make sure you pass off as an instructor.

Requirements for CPR instructor
Hi fellow healthcare workers. I am currently trying make a difference and a little extra income at the same time. I want to instruct CPR classes once a month but I have a very busy schedule and may not be able to do the classes as often as I like. One of my coworkers that is a CNA wants to help me with the classes. I was wondering if a CNA can conduct a CPR class. He has been in healthcare for over 10 years and is absolutely GREAT in codes. I did not see anywhere that a person has to be in healthcare at all to conduct CPR classes or am I overlooking it? I’ve always known paramedics and nurses to instruct. Can he instruct under me somehow? Is it legal if he assist me in conducting the CPR classes? I have reached out to AHA but haven’t gotten a response yet just trying to get some real feedback. Thanks.
