Hey y'all! I am a 2020 cohort member and wanted to hop on here and ease some nerves as I'm reflecting on how we felt last year.
As hard as it might be try to not think about it too much. We didn't hear back for interviews until early December and were only given about a weeks notice to interview. For out of state applicants they allowed for virtual interviews and I'm betting with all the COVID restrictions in place virtual interviews may be the route they take this year.
I got my acceptance to the CNS program at the end of January in the first round of acceptances, but one of our members was accepted in early March.
Your GPA, GRE, and experience in the healthcare field do not define whether you will get in or not. Our cohort has a wide variety of experience from very little to being employed in other fields of medicine. UT does take a holistic approach to reviewing applications. What truly matters is how passionate you are about the specialties you are applying and how UT will fit into helping you become the best nurse you can be.
Good luck and Hook 'em!??
