  1. Hey AJG! Excited to have others on here actively applying for the next cohort with me. I hope we all get to meet next class! So as far as it stands now (can’t speak on the board moving up since this is new, but that just seemed like a decision to leave more time for logistics), you report to Fort Sam for DCC and BOLC and that all runs from about January through March 2022 in our cases. As I understand, you do not need to have a place and be living over there just yet. School wouldn’t start until around June, so all the moving and stuff like that happens in those months between DCC/BOLC and program start. I’m sure MikeyD can elaborate on that timeline further. On your second question, I remember reading I believe on the website that CCRN and CEN are both preferred so it seems you should be fine with CEN even though the CCRN is expired. Please, anyone that can confirm/deny/elaborate, please do. Hope to get this forum fired up as it’s mid-February and things will be getting very real for this cycle very soon!
  2. Wow, this is a big change from the historical September boards I’ve read about in other threads! Thank you so much for the heads up on this. Any indication why the Army is moving the timeline up so drastically?
  3. Thank you for the heads up on that! Just out of curiosity, why is this the busiest time of year for medical recruiting?
  4. So I’ve recently thought about seeking out a recruiter and have found that the city I live in has a local U.S. Army Medical Recruiting Station. Is this an appropriate place to find and network with an AMEDD recruiter for USAGPAN? Also, seeing as the app won’t be open until next year, is it too soon or when would be an appropriate time to start the process with an AMEDD recruiter?
  5. Hello MikeyD! I just finished reading through all of USAGPAN 2021 here on allnurses and thought that your insights, advice, and guidance was invaluable to that group in your unique position as an applicant and recruiter. Lo and behold, I come and find that a new thread for 2022 had been started and you’re the one who started it off for us. Thank you for that and I look forward to how this thread develops over the next year! USAGPAN is my primary choice in program and I plan to keep working towards this goal. Also, a major congratulations on your acceptance into the next cohort! Look forward to our future communications.
