  1. Last year Experian showed my HRSA credit check on aug 6 and I received the finalist email on aug 16.
  2. Hey! Unless they changed the tier system, the regular RN, BSN, and ABSN students usually get picked before NP, DNP, etc.
  3. Hello to everyone in this thread! Good luck with applying for the scholarship this cycle. Put your best foot forward when completing the application and don't doubt yourself. I was lucky enough to receive the scholarship last year even though I thought I had no chance LOL! I checked this year's APG (https://bhw.HRSA.gov/sites/default/files/bureau-health-workforce/funding/nursecorps-sp-guidance.pdf see page 13) and it looks like there is enough funding for HRSA to award twice as many people. Good luck :)))
  4. I received the countersignature on 9/1 and the award email last night @ 11pm cst
  5. Plugging the facebook group for the new finalists! Congrats!! : https://www.facebook.com/groups/524001492228233/
  6. ooh! Mine doesn't say that yet... maybe its because I have only had the countersignature for a few days. When did that role pop up for you?
  7. I sent everything in on Aug. 18 and I received the countersignature on Sept. 1
  8. Hi! Does this program only cover ASN and BSN, or can you apply while seeking an NP/DNP?
  9. My nursing department didn't have the seal either. I had to reach out to the registrar/student services and they let me pick it up in person. My nursing department is working remote but student services isn't so I would call and ask if your registrar is in a similar situation. I'm not sure but I don't think you should count yourself out yet!
  10. I think I read somewhere that your school estimates that number and gives it to Nurse Corps.
  11. Yes! Please stay hopeful. If I'm not mistaken, those of us that received the email today are the first traditional BSN or ADN students to hear anything. Everyone else from last week that got the email were all ABSN, NP, DNP students
  12. just got my finalist email @ 4pm CST ! Here are my stats: 2nd Semester Traditional BSN Student GPA: 3.3 out of 4.0 Volunteer Experience: I'm 21 so all of my experiences are entangled in my extracurriculars/on campus jobs (Food pantries, nursing homes, etc) EFC: 4396
  13. Hi!! Which credit check system did you use? I was originally signed up with credit karma and I did not see a credit check. Once I signed up for Experian, it showed my nurse corps credit check on aug 6th!
  14. I just did the same thing and saw the nurse corps inquiry on my experian! Check experian yall because the credit check did not pop up on my credit karma! Im praying for everyone who hasn't received anything yet!! It happens in waves so keep the faith ?
  15. I agree with all of yall! Im just trying to keep the faith because we won't know anything until its final. I was reading through old nurse corps threads and there were times where multiple applicants called them with the same question, and everyone was given different answers lmaooo
  16. me too! mine is 4300
  17. yea! If I'm remembering correctly from last year's forum, the status changes to "final review" after your credit check and email.
  18. If I'm correct, only a couple people here have posted about a credit check. They also mentioned that they saw the credit check but haven't received an email yet.
  19. Keep the faith yall! Our application deadline was extended by three weeks, so it might take longer than usual. I'm starting to get antsy but I'm still hoping for the best for all of us ?
  20. Hey yall!! I received the same email on June 3rd about the FAFSA correction from a government agency. I started freaking out so I compared my original FAFSA to the corrected one, and the only change I saw was something about loans being disbursed for my Summer courses. I would suggest everyone go through and see what changed on theirs too! I'm sooooo nervous, but I am still hoping for the best for all of us :)
  21. Hey yall!! Last year's applicants started receiving finalist emails around July 15 so let's cross our fingers. I hope we all get it ?
  22. Hi everyone! I have officially submitted my application. Good luck to all of you ?
  23. Application cycle has now been extended through May 26, 2021 (7:30 pm est). From the email: "HRSA has received a historic increase in funding this year under the American Rescue Plan. With this additional funding, Nurse Corps anticipates making significantly more awards including: Up to 20 percent of total awards to nurse practitioners (NP) specializing in psychiatric mental health ; Up to $5 million to women’s health NPs and certified nurse midwife advanced practice nurses and registered nurses (RNs) who wish to pursue a career in women’s health. Online applications must match the information submitted in the supporting documentation. Application packages deemed incomplete (e.g., blank, password protected, illegible, or incomplete application materials) as of the application deadline will not be considered for funding. The Nurse Corps SP will not accept requests to update an incomplete, rejected, or submitted application including changes to an applicant's school or discipline after the deadline. You may edit your application, if you have not addressed the above actions." Good luck everyone!
  24. Hi!! I haven't experienced this issue but the application deadline was just extended to May 26, so I'm sure their IT dept will fix it for you before then.
  25. To me it sounded like it meant nursing license because on an earlier page when it asks if you have your CNA, lpn, RN, etc. it says you'll have to upload the certificate later.
