HCC Coleman Spring 2021
At the wait list orientation they stated we would know a week after the Castle branch due date, but they extended it to the 20th. So we will know for sure by the 27th, I would hope. But with the holidays, maybe not. I am eager to find out as well so I can plan next year accordingly- there’s nothing worse than waiting around not knowing.

I’m sorry to hear that. Did they send the email to your student email or personal?

No, I would give it till the 15th to hear something. Others have said it usually takes 45 days from the application date.

HCC Coleman Spring 2021
@TwinLoves2020 In your original application that you filled out where you had to input all your grades for each class is the rubric. You can still access your application. On the very bottom of the rubric/webpage it has a %. HCC Sent you an email (back in August) saying like here's a link to your application. To find this email I typed in my email search "coleman" and it came up.

@Lola I too have a bachelors, but in the original application we filled out it didn't say anything about it adding points to the rubric. But maybe it will look better in the eyes of the admission committee. I applied to the Lone Star ADN and the committee stuck religiously the the rubric (HESI, english1, AP1) only.. I knew someone on the committee board as well (I did not get in). So I'm not holding my breath that it'll help us get an edge.

@MaleNurse1218 Wow.. thanks for letting me/us all know. The way in which they go about this is so wrong... like do they not realize that completing the Castle Branch items costs a lot of money and then you may or may not get in... this should definitely be in bold letters in the letter of intent. But thanks for letting me know, now I can prepare for a possible denial letter and figure out my next plan.

HCC Coleman Spring 2021
That's was my main question, I figured that the main ones on the to-do list were the most important, but I just wanted clarification. I have been reading so much contradicting information on whether we are accepted into the program or not. Some people from fall admissions said that even though we got the letter of intent and completed the castle branch items we could still be denied... what is everyone's opinion on this? I really hope we all get accepted after having completed the branch items!

HCC Coleman Spring 2021
Hello everyone. I also received a letter of intent and I am doing the castle branch items. On the second page of the physical's form is asks for titers for Hep B, C, A&B COMBO. I came back as negative for HEP A, will this hinder me from getting into the program? I have emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) two times now and have not received a response and I am super worried that I just spent $500 to get titers and a physical for nothing. Thank you for anyone who might know the answer and reply...

2021 HCC Nursing Program
hey there, I took anatomy at LSC and I got a C my first time retook it and got an A. I also got a B in AP2. I got my letter of intent from HCC... I think they are more lax than any other college. So you still stand a chance! That B may hinder you from getting into a bachelor's program if you are applying to those as well.. bachelor's programs require a 3.0 +..usually a 3.5.

Letter of Intent Houston Community College Spring 2021
I also received a letter of intent and BON card. I have read mixed information, if you received a letter of intent does that mean you are accepted into the program IF you complete all the Castle Branch requirements with no hick-ups? I have reached out twice to HCC and have no heard a response.
