  1. Yes! I am also on the waitlist for Washington State University's College of Nursing, thank you for asking ? I will be sure to leave a comment if I were to be pulled from the waitlist.
  2. Hi! Yes, there were some big takeaways from the info session. The most important thing to know is that there are two different waitlists; one for current Linfield students and another for transfers. Since current Linfield students are automatically accepted if they meet the qualifications and had more applicants than normal, they said a few times they do not see themselves pulling anyone from the transfer waitlist for acceptance for Fall 2021. Definitely hard to hear but I am glad they were very transparent about this process. The other information they provided were some tips to grow as an applicant between now and applying for Spring 2022 should you choose to still apply.
  3. I'm also on the waitlist for the program. I signed up for the info session on the 27th, I think that will be really helpful though to get a better understanding of everything going on.
  4. I am on the waitlist for the Yakima campus, so happy to hear about your acceptance letters! Best of luck to everyone next Fall
  5. Not yet! Fingers crossed we hear sooner than later!
  6. I heard back from Linfield about the login credentials and they let me know we would be getting our login information closer to May 1st.
  7. Thank you for the information! I never received any information or emails regarding the new update, so this was very helpful to know! I reached out on how I can receive my login credentials for the application portal.
  8. That's great! Wishing you the best for those programs and Linfield! Hoping we each hear back soon ((: Please keep me updated on your other programs too I would love to hear
  9. Yes, I did! I applied to Concordia University which is also in Portland and Washington State University's College of Nursing in Yakima, Washington.
  10. I haven't heard of any new updates...glad to hear I'm not the only one who's pretty anxious for the emails to be sent out.
  11. Hoping for decisions to come out today, but I do know that because of the number of transfer students applying compared to current Linfield students, we could found out anytime between now and May 1. But I'm still finding myself checking my email often (so nervous!). Best of luck to you!
  12. I also received an invitation for an interview with the Yakima campus. Best of luck to everyone on April 1st-April 2nd!
  13. I haven't received an email yet, but I agree we should be hearing very soon!
  14. I'm also waiting for the fall program! I can't believe we hear next week already..best of luck to you and everyone else applying, keep me updated! My advisor had let me know interview letters are typically released closer to the end of the week.
  15. Yes, that's correct! Below I've copied a link from the the WSU Nursing page that helps clarify a lot of questions about applying for the program. Feel free to reach out with any other questions, I'm happy to help! https://nursing.wsu.edu/academics/BSN/admission-requirements
  16. Thank you so much! Just submitted my application yesterday and now I get to wait until April to hear the news (not at all stressful haha). Will be sure to keep you posted once I hear anything!
  17. Yes, I believe that the 50 hours have to have been completed within the last 3 years.
  18. Hi! The core WSU requirements are a 3.0 CUM and Nursing GPA and no nursing grades lower than a 2.0, although the average accepted applicant has between a 3.5-3.9 CUM and nursing GPA depending on which campus they applied to. There is a minimum 50 hour healthcare work/volunteer requirement and they do require the TEAS. Because of Covid, however, the TEAS is waived for Fall 2021 and if applicants could not get 50 hours they could instead write an essay on the role of a nurse. You are only allowed to apply to one campus for the nursing program per application cycle, and each campus has different healthcare settings for clinicals and lab simulations. Of the three campuses, Spokane is the most difficult campus to be accepted into. I would recommend looking at the WSU Nursing website and getting to know each of the three campus to help determine where you would prefer to go, this really helped me! Hope this helped, I'm happy to help if you have any other questions.
  19. Yes, I have also gotten these emails. I attended one of the information sessions where they discussed this, and they strongly encouraged applying for either a Spring start date or applying to the accelerated Summer program if you are able if you are a transfer student due to the very few (if any) available spots for transfer students. At the session, they said if any transfer students were to get in, they would be placed on a waitlist behind other current Linfield students for Fall 2021. This is definitely some tough news, but I am at least glad they let us know of the situation.
  20. This is very helpful, thank you so much for sharing! I plan on submitting my app early January when I have even more clinical hours, then it will be that infamous waiting game until April to see about acceptance.
  21. Best of luck to all of you!
  22. Thank you so much for letting me know! I will definitely reach out to you if I have any more questions along the way☺️
  23. Hi, everyone. I am currently applying to the Pre-Licensure BSN program at Linfield as a transfer student, and am hoping to get a sense of where I may stand as an applicant. My college GPA is a 3.56, and my nursing prereq GPA is 3.50 for Linfield. What is really dragging my nursing GPA down is Chem101, which I am retaking Spring2021. I also have about 300 clinical hours as a CNA, and am also double majoring in Spanish. If anyone has applied/attends Linfield, would you mind sharing your stats upon applying to the program and if you were accepted? I was also wondering if anyone knows if Linfield will still calculate the old Chem101 grade in my nursing prereq GPA as the retake would be in progress. Thank you so much!
  24. Good luck on your interview! If you would like, keep me posted I would love to hear how everything goes!
  25. Hi, everyone. I am applying to the Yakima branch of the WSU BSN program for the Fall 2021 cohort. As I'm sure everyone is or was, I am pretty nervous about the application process and am wanting to get a sense of where I may stand as an applicant. I would love to hear other's thoughts/concerns/comments they had about the application and interview process. My CUM GPA is a 3.51 and my pre-req GPA is a 3.42. Having worked as a CNA over the Summer and other volunteer opportunities, I have about 282 experience hours. For Fall 2021, WSU Nursing has waived the TEAS exam. I know GPA is a primary factor in the decision process, and I am reaching out to hear other's GPA's upon application and if they were accepted into the program Thank you so much, and go cougs!
