I would use their point system and credit hours. I don't see them giving you any more points for a class then they allow. So, I would count it as 4 points. Welcome and good luck!! If your email read like ours, I'm thinking it's an acceptance letter. Other wise, why would they say respond by the deadline. It's nerves, I'm sure you're good! Congrats!
