  1. Was wondering the same thing! If anyone received an offer on Friday please let us know! Haha
  2. Right!! I swear there was only one round and that was it ?? like it's been a whole month!
  3. I was thinking this as well ? so strange that they're sending them later this year though when they took away the references from the application. But yeah the one week extension was maybe them moving their deadline to send out offers to one week later! So maybe next Friday LOL
  4. Yes! I think the portal will actually update first, and then the email comes a little bit later. OUAC also takes a little bit more time to update from what I remember
  5. Oh nooo ? I'm so sorry!! Hopefully that means you have extra good odds this year though! (If UofT ever updates our statuses LOL)
  6. LOOL not me running to check my junk mail ??
  7. LOL one year I think they updated people's statuses at 4pm ? so unless someone's already heard back, keep refreshing!! Haha Edit - I will be shaken up if we don't hear anything today though LOOL
  8. If it is today I think it will be early afternoon that they get sent out based on what I remember from last year! Good luck guys ?
  9. I don't think offers have been sent out yet for UofT! I think they will start the first round of offers this Friday, based on previous years.
  10. Hey guys, I did not apply to Trent but I remember last year when I was considering it I spoke to admissions and they mentioned the possibility of an alternative offer to be in their honours science program instead. They said if you don't make it into the nursing program then you can do a semester or two in honours science and try to switch into the nursing program if your grades are good. I'm fairly sure a high % of those people who start in the honours science program are able to switch to nursing very easily (like it's only if you don't do well in those first few honours science courses that you wouldn't get in). Hope that helps clear up some of the confusion ?
  11. Just got my Nipissing letter in the mail! Looks like there are no conditions, which is super strange because I'm finishing anatomy and psychology this semester ? Maybe it's only conditional for people still completing their degree. Not that I'm complaining LOL
  12. Ah okay, thank you! ? Hopefully that means I don't need to maintain anything LOL (it's that point in the semester ... ?)
  13. Hey guys, for Nipissing does everyone's offer say "Offered Admission" or do some people's say "Conditional Offer" (or something similar)? I haven't gotten the official letter in the mail yet so I just wanted to confirm if I have to finish with a certain average in my current courses. I've already completed my degree but I'm finishing up my anatomy/psychology pre req courses this semester!
  14. I wrote mine on Feb 1st too! Haven't finished my pre reqs yet either. I haven't heard of anyone getting offers after that one day so maybe so far they've only done one round?
  15. OMG!! Ahh now I'm nervous ? thank you for the update!! Good luck everyone!
  16. Yes last year it was second week! Although I might still check today, just because they updated their website this year saying that offers go out "late March" which makes it sound like it's this week. I remember last year the offers went out I think early afternoon.
  17. Yes I think you're right!! I asked the current students on the facebook group about the NCLEX pass rate/how they prepare if it's self-learning and it seems like it's not an issue. I mean if you think about it, for a 4-year program you learn all the basics in first 1 or 2 years of the program, and then in the final two years you're in clinical, and then you write NCLEX. A lot of people in SPP have done their anatomy/physiology prereq in the last 1 or 2 years before applying so it's kind of similar timing. Plus, pharmacology isn't a difficult course to learn ? I did it as my undergrad program and really the basics are just understanding the movement of the drug throughout the body and memorizing mechanisms LOL. Definitely something that can be self-taught. I don't think we have anything to worry about!!
  18. Yes these are my top two as well!! It's so funny because the Michener and Bloomberg buildings are practically right next to each other ? so wherever we end up going we won't be straying far LOL
  19. I knoww! Last year I think it was April 9th that the first offers went out, which would match up with next Friday ? they have different people on the admissions team this year though so maybe it'll be different! They also updated the website recently and it says offers start going out late March/early April, which sounds like it'll be this week ... but who knows LOL
  20. UofT should be either this Friday or next Friday! Western sent out a few offers already but I'm not sure when the next round is - I feel like they'll send more either this week or next week. No clue about Queen's haha. I would check your status using the account associated with the school (like JOINUofT) because they get updated there first before it shows up on OUAC and usually before you receive an email!
  21. From what I understand it definitely allows you to do any Master's degree program you want, including NP programs. The only thing is, the GPA calculation for admission into those programs might include some of your undergrad grades (if I'm not mistaken).
  22. Yes to this! I got a little worried yesterday and emailed admissions asking if yesterday's were all the acceptances they sent out, and they replied saying they were updating statuses really slowly so by beginning of April (I assume Friday) everyone that's accepted should know LOL
  23. Ahh just got into Nipissing too! CONGRATS everyone! So excited!! Also does anyone know yet when we need to accept the offer by? ? Did anyone from yesterday get an email? Edit - nvm just saw someone's comment above! Good we have the entire month LOL!
  24. Thank you! ? these programs are so crazy competitive though it's like you never know where you stand ... congrats on the waitlist though!! I remember last year a bunch of people got in off the waitlist so you've still got a great chance (especially this early on)! ?
  25. DUDE LOL THAT'S ME I work at mount sinai ?? I was like boy I'm right there I'm less than a minute away pLEASE
