  1. If you have a facebook look on some of the travel nurse housing websites. They usually offer furnished places and I’m sure would be happy to offer it to a grad student.
  2. There are housing options on the app they gave us access to. It’s specifically all Midwestern students so you could room up with people in different degrees. My friend who is in the program now lives with 3 other Midwestern students (all studying different degrees) in a big house and it’s working out well for her! She found the housing through the app.
  3. By the time I interviewed the masters was full and I was kinda bummed but the more I’ve given it thought the doctoral will work better for me in the long run. If you want to switch just email the assistant director.
  4. I just was today!! Congratulations on your acceptance! Where are you from?
  5. I think GPA and ICU experience are only part of what they look for in candidates. What makes you stand out among all the other people that also have a 3.2 GPA and 2 years of ICU? I would focus more on that personally.
  6. I was freaking initially when I didn’t get an interview and others did, but then I realized it was probably due to them sending invites out in waves in order to fill the interview dates. I don’t necessarily think the date you interview will determine if you get a spot or not. I think you need to impress the interview panel and demonstrate you know what you say you know to get a spot. I think you should feel good about getting an interview in general. Not a lot of people get this far ? I personally LOVE Medcram on Youtube. There’s a ton of useful review info on there if you’re an auditory/visual learner. I’m also reading through the essentials of critical care nursing book from the AACN
  7. I’m reviewing CCRN info and patho. They definitely ask clinical questions but I think it’s a mix of clinical and behavioral.
  8. From what I’ve read they interview approximately 70 ppl to fill 34 spots
  9. I just got my interview invite early this morning! I scheduled for October 29! Im so excited!
