Hi Mike. Thank you for the suggestion. I'm already a member of this society. I've had a difficult time trying to reach someone.

I reside in Connecticut. I reached out to CT's AANP chapter. I haven't received a response as of yet. I'm very stressed and concerned that I won't find a NP position. My career goal is to work in a primary care setting. However, many practices require 1-2 years NP work experience. I was paired with a mentor when I finished nursing school which I found very helpful. We are still in touch.

I just completed my MSN and sat for the adult/gerontology nurse practitioner exam last week. I'm thrilled to report that I passed! As a new nurse practitioner entering the field, I think that I would greatly benefit from having a mentor. I had and still have a wonderful registered nurse mentor. However, I'd like to have someone in my field to help guide me through the unfamiliar terrain offering support and guidance throughout the journey. I'm looking to establish a career as a nurse practitioner in a primary care setting. I was wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction in terms of finding a mentor. Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Lisa

Hi. I'm a recent MSN graduate and just passed by NP board exam last week. I'm revising my resume and not sure how to properly word the "summary" and "certification" sections. I've applied for my NP license but have not received it as of yet. Would appreciate ideas and suggestions. Thanks so much. Lisa
