I don’t know if I want to be a nurse anymore
@2BS Nurse Well obviously you didn’t read what I said. A doctors office is 1 to 1 patient care and I never said that it would be a slower pace. I stated that it would be less patients at a time and it would be less stressful than working in a hospital. This was just options for her so she could keep an open mind into the medical field. There’s no need for your “heads up” assumptions. Thanks ?

I don’t know if I want to be a nurse anymore
Hey! I think possibly medical assistant would be a good fit or possible LPN. That way you can work in smaller clinics or doctors offices and have 1 on 1 patient care. They typically don’t pay as much as in the hospital or as registered nurses, but it’s a start and you can always go back to school once you are completely ready.

Newer Nurse needing tips!
Hey guys, so I am working in an ambulatory surgery center and I like my job, but I would eventually like to transition possibly PRN in the hospital setting for certain departments sometime in the future. I would like to know is anyone has done this type of transition before. Mind you I have never worked in a hospital before. Thanks

Nurse back to school
Hey guys, so I decided to go back to school for my other passion which is business. I have my BSN and I’m going to school to get a bachelors in business and leadership. I wanted to know if anyone has had the same experience or has had previous business experience before nursing. I’m deciding to do what I want instead of asking myself “what if” in the future!

PRN Nursing Questions
Hey guys, so I’m just curious I am always thinking 1 step ahead and love to learn about different jobs in nursing that not many professors or staff tell you about. I am starting a 2 year contract at a PCU/IMC unit. I was wondering if working full time after a year and picking up a PRN would be worth it or too much? Also I would like to know if for PRN jobs I have seen a lot that just require you to have RN experience for 1 year so I would like to know if I could apply to a PRN job within a year that maybe different from my current unit. If you guys have any similar experiences working full time with a PRN please let me know. Thanks!

New graduate HELP!
OK so I know HCA is not the best hospital to work for at all. They were just the first ones to start hiring for new grad positions. Don’t worry though I have applied to other better hospitals. I was just concerned if I was the only one having these same issues with them. They’re definitely not my first choice of hospitals to work for at all. Maybe they did feel as though I was coming off too strong or over applying for their positions, but during these times it’s been incredibly hard to find anything. At this point though I am done trying with them as a new grad. Thanks all for the advice! It’s really appreciated ?

South Florida East HCA StaRN program
Hey! I’m having the same problem here in Orlando and I’ve asked if it has happened to anyone. I read online that someone had applied to multiple HCA new grad programs and that they told her she wasn’t being considered because of that. Under all my HCA new grad applications I also have “Not Under Consideration”. I think it’s so wrong for them to make this type of rule and not put any information on their website or policy. I would recommend to apply elsewhere.

New graduate HELP!
Hey guys so I need to know if anyone else has had this happen to them as a new nurse. I applied for an HCA new graduate program in June of this year and did a virtual interview (just answering questions and submitting) and have yet to hear back. I also applied for other new grad HCA programs in my near by towns to make sure I am able to find a job. I emailed the nurse residency program coordinator about 3 weeks after I submitted my interview just to see if I could get any info on my application status. I have yet to receive a reply. I checked on the HCA career page through my account and for all the jobs I applied as a new graduate in HCA I wouldn’t have even get a confirmation email. When I looked in my account the status was “Not under consideration” for all jobs except the one I interviewed for. I have kept applying and Even with different emails I have and nothing. I know that my resume is as good as it can be and I took the opportunity and got a bunch of certifications and updated my cover letters. I feel like HCA has blacklisted me or something and when I checked online someone said that they had been denied a new grad job because they applied for another new grad position and another HCA hospital. Please anyone with info let me know! I feel so annoyed and frustrated that a company would do that to someone just because they wanted to have multiple options. Thanks!
