question regarding accidents
hi, im cat il be taking the nclex second time around this june 12. really stressful since i have to go back to the exam center again... well im doing my best to relax and be positive about it;) i have this question: if an accident occur, let's say a bus turned over and a lot of people were hurt, who would i attend first? the least injured or the most injured? i understand that in disasters, u attend to the least injured first so im not sure if its the same principle that i would apply. hope i would be enlightened. thanks!

to suzanne4 thank you so much for the tips that you gave me :) il check on those! to nurse ratched, hmmm... i have read in one of the internet sites that in a disaster situation, you should treat first the least wounded so that they could help you treat other patients who requires immediate attention.is this true or should i attend to the urgent cases at once first? im a bit confused.. thank you once again :)

please help me
hello! well i took the nclex last year around september but unfortunately i failed. now i'm going to take it the second time around... hopefully early this year... i noticed that the questions i encountered last time were more about triage and delagation and i think im weak on these areas. hopefully i would be enlightened on how to deal with these topics. i really have difficulty in which patients should i attend first. thank you :wink2:
