I received my invite to interview on Oct. 12 but also had everything in way before the deadline. A few days after the app opened, I completed it and submitted it

As far as I understand they interview their top ranking GPA candidates etc. Some of these people are ocvislly. Accepted and some placed onto another waitlist. . they theen move down the interview waitlist? Do they offer interview everyone on the interview waitlist?.. Thanks in advance for sharing any insight!

I was WL yesterday

Just forgot what day I interviewed, that's how bad it's getting LOL After they get through the Oct 5 people, do they go back to the Sept 23 people again? And then Sept 28? And then Sept 30? Any thoughts? Actually it seems like everyone who got in either interviewed my day or before me. Feel like that's not a great sign

are they going through people based on interview dates? And then regoing through the dates in batches?

The 5th was an option? I thought that's when we'd see some decisions LOL

So when I was scheduling my interview I counted how many slots there were. I saw that the latest slot was the 18th or 19th. And I am figuring 4 per slot. So my guess is 19 slots x four applicants. I could be way off though maybe some slots had 3 ppl only and maybe some had 5 or 6? Unless some time slots were longer, it would seem hard to fit 6 ppl into them. So that's my best educated guesstimation

The good news is it said in the attachments that they admit 15 to 20 ppl into each program and they interviewed about 76 people. So that's about a 50 % shot.

Really? Where did you hear this from? Aren't they already are competitive with Akron?

It sounded to me like if we were scheduled for one or the 4 slots that met at the particular time that we would all be together at first. I wonder what that will be like. Any thoughts?

2 weeks ago I knew it would be a challenge to rearrange my work schedule without much warning. But now I am actually concerned that I won't be able to trade shifts and my only option would be calling off to prevent interviewing after many night shifts or just accept that I will have to do so.

I too am surprised. It is strange timing but then again it's 2020, everything is strange What type of ICU did he work in @NoOrdinaryICU

Haven't heard anything since the end of August when we got the email apologizing for the delay in application status updates. I think that last email was sent out 3 weeks ago

Key phrase there is, "holiday weekend." I don't think they are in session on Monday due to the holiday. Maybe interviews will be in Oct.? That way scheduling won't be as tough. I'm pretty sure it is not recommended to show up after working the last of 5 night shifts.? ?

For logistical reasons I truly hope invites go out tomorrow so that if I get one I can work on switching shifts with another nurse if need be. Even trades have to be done a certain number of days ahead of time. I don't know if they allow you to pick from multiple time slots and what dates those slots fall on

@IcuRNx our charge nurses all have a minimum of 5 years of experience. So I am not a charge nurse but will likely be training for charge soon

Are most of you guys already scheduled for shifts during September and October? Do your units schedule in 4 week blocks? Do your units require you to work AM shifts for 2 weeks and then PM the next 2? Are you required to work every other weekend? These are just "out of curiosity" type questions. I am always interested in how different places do that type of thing? Any thoughts on whether charge experience is valued at CWRU? Or for that matter, at other schools? I love asking questions!
